Yeouido Japanese pub with lamb ribs: Nani Yeouido Branch
In short
Nani Yeouido Branch is a Japanese pub on the third floor of S-Trenue near Exit 3 of Yeouido Station in Seoul. I ordered braised beef tendon and lamb shoulder rack; both were filling, and the wood-partitioned seating made it comfortable to talk over drinks, though it was not a fully enclosed room.

How do you get there from Yeouido Station?
Nani Yeouido Branch (나니 여의도점) is an izakaya on the third floor of S-Trenue in Yeouido. It is close to Exit 3 of Yeouido Station, so it was easy to reach by subway. Go inside the building and take the elevator to the third floor.

Is the atmosphere good for talking with your group?
The interior felt calm, with low lighting, dark wood tones, and warm lamps. Vertical wooden partitions between the seats meant I was not too aware of the next table. They were not fully enclosed rooms, but the setting was good for slowly having a drink and talking with my group.

What snacks can you choose?
The menu had a wide range, from sashimi to grilled dishes and individual plates. The grilled options included lamb shoulder rack, scallops with cheese yaki (grilled dish), mero yaki (grilled black cod), myeongran yaki (grilled pollock roe), and semi-dried tender squid. Individual plates included perilla oil octopus pasta, braised beef tendon, cheddar cheese hamburger steak, jumbo shrimp butter garlic, myeongran gyeran-mari (rolled omelet with pollock roe), and beef tataki. We ordered the braised beef tendon and lamb shoulder rack.

Crisply toasted geonppang (hard-baked bread biscuits) came as the complimentary snack. They were nutty and light, and we finished them while waiting for the main dishes.

What were the texture and seasoning of the braised beef tendon like?
The braised beef tendon arrived first in a large bowl, gently simmered with tendon, carrots, mushrooms, scallions, and more.

The tendon was springy and soft without being tough. To my taste, it would pair better with sake than beer.

The soy sauce-based broth had soaked into the tendon, making it pleasantly salty. I thought it would be a good choice when starting a drinking session with a warm snack.

How much was the lamb shoulder rack, and what did it taste like?
When the original post was written, the lamb shoulder rack was ₩43,000 for three ribs, with additional ribs at ₩14,000 each. They say they use shoulder rack from lamb under 10 months old.

Large lamb ribs arrived on a very hot iron plate. Thick meat clung to the bones, and the deeply seared exterior had charred spots and a sheen.

It had a smoky grilled flavor, while the meat inside was moist and tender. The meat around the bone was especially tender and savory, so the lamb ribs stayed with me more than the other dish that day.

The basil sauce served alongside was salty, making it good for lightly dipping the meat. Its flavor also paired well with beer.

It was also tasty with jjaran (cumin spice).
Were the beef tendon and lamb ribs enough for a meal?
We picked at the braised beef tendon and filled up on lamb ribs, so it was enough even without having a separate meal beforehand. I think it would also work for stopping by for drinks as a second venue. With a larger group, you could add sashimi or other grilled dishes for more variety.

Being close to the station made it easy to meet up and head home, and I liked being able to eat snacks while talking in the calm seating area. I would like to return when I want a drink with a meal after work with my group.
