Dong, Daegu café with Kumho River views and rooftop: Hands Coffee

After a meal, I stopped by Hands Coffee Dongchon Resort Branch (핸즈커피 동촌유원지점) to have coffee while looking at the Kumho River. It was a large café with plenty of seating from the second through fourth floors, and I was able to sit down right away without waiting when I visited.

Where is the café, and can you see the Kumho River?

The address is 5-6 Hyodong-ro 6-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu. The café occupies the second through fourth floors of the building, and the hours listed in the original post were 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily.

The Kumho River is right in front, making it a nice place to rest while taking in the riverside scenery. Its location also suited stopping in for coffee after a walk around Dongchon Resort.

There was an order bar on the second floor, with seating on every floor from the second through fourth. The fourth floor also had a rooftop overlooking the riverside.

How did the seating and atmosphere differ by floor?

Hand-drip coffee was also available. I went up to the second floor and used the kiosk to order.

The blinds on the second floor were partly lowered, but I could still enjoy the green scenery around the Kumho River through the windows.

Cold brew coffee and merchandise were neatly displayed, so I took a brief look around.

The third floor had a few more wooden accessories, giving it a modern yet classic feel.

The seats by the floor-to-ceiling windows were nice for having a coffee while looking out at the open view.

Was the fourth-floor rooftop good for a long break?

The fourth-floor interior had floor seating, with sunlight coming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There was also a terrace rooftop, but it was too hot to sit there for long when I visited. I thought it would be a good place to relax while looking at the river once the weather became a little cooler.

What was available besides coffee?

Along with coffee, there were brunch dishes and a range of desserts.

With brunch on the menu, it seemed possible to enjoy a meal and coffee together.

There were also bingsu (shaved ice dessert) and ice cream.

There were bakery items including waffles, and at the time of my visit, cookies were being offered to people who took part in a receipt review event.

How were the coffee and desserts I ordered?

I ordered an iced long black, blueberry ice cream, and the summer seasonal Silky Gourmet Cream Latte. The Silky Gourmet Cream Latte contained gourmet butter with deep, rich espresso. The long black tasted strong but clean.

I also had the cookie I received for taking part in the receipt review event. It was a nice place to rest over coffee and dessert after a meal, and I thought it could work for families stopping by after a meal because there were items children might choose, such as ice cream.

Is there parking?

There was a parking area behind the café.
