Pyeongtaek garden café in coreopsis season: brunch for two at Sisup
In short
Sisup (시숲) is a large brunch café with a lawn garden and forest on Hyeondeok-ro in Hyeondeok-myeon (Anjung), Pyeongtaek. In late spring, with the coreopsis in bloom, the writer and a friend ate the Sisup Brunch for two (23,800 won), an almond cream latte and a Marlenka cinnamon cake topped with Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the garden, and also looked into Sisup's dog-friendly and garden wedding options. Verdict: Sisup is highly recommended for a relaxed brunch surrounded by nature.

Coreopsis in bloom in Sisup's garden in late spring
The garden at Sisup was full of bright yellow coreopsis (금계국) this time. My friend said they come here often, and looked at the flowers with real affection.

What do yellow coreopsis look like against green grass? It felt like a garden straight out of a painting.
What we ordered at Sisup and how much it cost
That day we ordered the Sisup Brunch for two (₩23,800), a Marlenka cinnamon cake (₩6,800), an Americano (₩5,800) and an iced almond cream latte (₩7,000).

I'd love to enjoy a slow brunch looking at the green view through the big windows, but when nature is this beautiful, you simply have to go out to the garden.

Is the Sisup Brunch for two enough for two people?
The Sisup Brunch (₩23,800 for two) comes loaded with thick toast, bacon, sausage and salad, so it's a satisfying meal for two. Sisup's brunch menu is well put together, and on weekends lots of people come just for brunch.

How does Sisup's almond cream latte taste?
Sisup's almond cream latte (iced, ₩7,000) fills your mouth with a nutty almond aroma.

Drinking it while looking at the garden and the forest, it felt like taking a bite of dessert, a happy cup of coffee.
The more I drink, the more a gentle coffee flavor comes up, huh?
The softness of the cream and the nuttiness of the almond go well with the forest view. It's perfect as a signature menu item.

Marlenka cinnamon cake with Häagen-Dazs ice cream on top
Sisup's Marlenka cinnamon cake (₩6,800) is charming, with sweet honey flavor and a subtle cinnamon scent. On top of the moist, layered cake, I added Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream. Seeing that big scoop on top put me in a good mood.
The moment the ice cream slowly melts into the cake was memorable. Warm and cold at the same time, like an apple pie or cinnamon dessert at a high-end dessert café, it's a perfect match with coffee.

- Golden-grilled thick toast
- Sunny-side-up egg with a runny yolk
- Crispy bacon
- Juicy sausage

I'm so happy to be having brunch at Sisup right now, looking at the wide lawn garden and the forest. Eating brunch with a dear friend surrounded by green, I even felt like I was on a trip.
Is Sisup dog-friendly?
This large café in Anjung, Pyeongtaek allows dogs outdoors. As long as you follow basic etiquette, like keeping your dog on a leash and bringing poop bags, you can visit with your pet.

With its wide lawn, Sisup seems especially popular with dog owners. It's a nice place to enjoy nature and spend a relaxed time with your dog. (One of my friends has a dog, and for a moment I thought I should recommend this place to her.)
Can you hold a garden wedding at Sisup?

I heard Sisup in Anjung, Pyeongtaek has been getting lots of outdoor wedding inquiries lately thanks to its beautiful garden.

In fact, I saw notices introducing garden weddings here and there around the café.

The wide lawn, forest backdrop and natural light make you dream of a special outdoor ceremony.

A small wedding in a place like this, around this time of year, would be gorgeous~

I imagine the flowers and green scenery that change with the seasons as the backdrop for wedding photos. For people like me who want to mark a meaningful moment in nature, it seems like a really appealing spot.
