Peaches are in season lately so peach desserts are everywhere haha. I'd just eaten in Hapjeong and was trying to decide what to get for dessert — since it's peach season and I really wanted peach bingsu (shaved ice dessert), I searched around and found this place.

It's Suntherrace (Minkyu Appane Bagel)! At first I just went for the peach bingsu, but it turns out this Hapjeong café is also famous for its bagels lol. So I ended up going for bingsu and coming home having also had a great bagel — turns out it's a well-known bagel spot in Hapjeong.

What do Sun Terrace's exterior and interior look like?

True to its name, Suntherrace has a terrace feel, and it was a good vibe for casually dropping in for dessert.

Hapjeong is a neighborhood packed with pretty cafés down every alley, so café-hopping here is fun on its own, and Suntherrace felt like an easy, comfortable place to visit.

The interior was clean and comfortable overall — a nice atmosphere for sitting down, chatting, and enjoying dessert.

A lot of people eat a meal in Hapjeong and then look for a second-stop café, and with this kind of atmosphere, it would work well for a date too.

It's a good spot to come chat with a friend over dessert, or just to casually enjoy a bagel and coffee!

My main reason for visiting was the peach bingsu, but what I actually remember most from the day was the unexpected bagel haha.

How much white peach is on Sun Terrace's peach bingsu?

The peach bingsu I'd been looking forward to finally arrived! The look alone screamed summer. White peaches piled generously on top of milk snow ice — if you love peaches, this visual alone will make you happy lol.

The snow ice itself was soft, and the milk's nutty, clean flavor paired really well with the peach. But the most important thing here is the peach on top!

You'll be surprised how good the peach actually is once you taste it.

It's packed with the sweet, juicy flesh typical of white peaches, so eating it together with the ice made for the perfect summer dessert.

I tend to feel a bit let down when the peach in a bingsu isn't tasty, but here the peach itself was delicious, so I was satisfied the whole way through.

The softness of the milk snow ice plus the sweet peach kept my spoon going back for more haha.

And what I really liked was being able to get a bingsu like this at this price. Plenty of peach on top, the ice itself was tasty, so it felt like good value too.

If you're chasing peach bingsu during peach season, this one's worth trying.

I'd only planned on getting one peach bingsu, but it was way better than expected and I left in a great mood.

How chewy is the plain bagel at Sun Terrace?

I also ordered the basic plain bagel — I mean, I'd come all this way, and they say it's a famous bagel spot, so how could I not lol.

At first I ordered the plain bagel just to have a light taste — honestly I wasn't expecting much since I'd come for the bingsu.

But one bite in and — wait, this is better than I thought? I could really feel that chewy texture bagels are known for.

The outside wasn't too heavy, and the inside was chewy and clean-tasting, so it was plenty good even eaten plain. I especially don't love bagels when they're too dry or tough, but this one's chewiness worked for me.

So I'd meant to have just a bite or two, but I kept eating lol. Turns out this place is famous for its bagels — I guess famous places are famous for a reason haha.

It'd suit anyone in Hapjeong looking for a dessert café after a meal, or anyone who just loves bagels. Like me, some people might come for the peach bingsu and end up discovering it's a bagel place lol.

The peach bingsu was satisfying as a summer dessert, with soft milk snow ice piled high with tasty white peaches, and the plain bagel was clean-tasting with a good chewy texture, making it a nice light bite too. If you're looking for a good bagel café in Hapjeong or a tasty peach bingsu there, Suntherrace is worth a stop. Next time I'd like to try more of the bagel varieties instead of just the bingsu. Try it once and I think you'll understand why it's so popular :)
