After lunch in Hapjeong I went looking for a café with a good vibe and good light, and that's how I ended up at "Soon Terrace Minkyu Appane Bagel." Here, the window seats lift the whole window up so you can enjoy the café almost like an outdoor pojangmacha, breathing in the outside air, and with the doors thrown wide open the natural light just streams in — the weather's been so nice lately, and the atmosphere here matched it perfectly.
How to find Minkyu Appane Bagel: the Dangin-ri Power Plant alley from Sangsu Station Exit 4

It sits between Sangsu and Hapjeong stations, so you can get there quickly from either side. The closest route is out Exit 4 of Sangsu Station, walking toward Hapjeong until you hit the Dangin-ri Power Plant alley — that's where it is!

The sign reads "Soon terrace" in English. Out front there's a board with the bingsu and sandwich menu, so I was already debating which bingsu to get before even walking in, haha.
The lifted-window terrace seats and the room inside
This is a legendary seat! Good weather, a breeze, nice sunlight... enjoying a bagel and coffee while breathing the outside air. Lots of people were there working solo, too — this terrace seating is clearly the most popular spot in the place.

There are plenty of regular tables too, though most seat two. Soon Terrace Minkyu Appane Bagel keeps its doors flung wide open, and thanks to that the natural light pours in and the whole café feels great — strongly recommended if you're looking for a good Hapjeong date café or want some Instagram-worthy shots ^.^

There's a separate fruit fridge, and when an order comes in they pull the fruit out and make it fresh on the spot! When we ordered the peach bingsu, they pulled out the peaches right then. Microwave, water, straws — all self-service. I feel like warming the bagel up a bit would make it even tastier.
Menu and prices: wood-fired bagels, drinks, sandwiches and bingsu

Soon Terrace has all kinds of wood-fired bagels, drinks, sandwiches, and even bingsu ready to go. You can choose your coffee beans, and decaf is available for +₩500. Oat milk swap and extra shots are possible too. Coffee runs ₩4,000 to ₩6,500, which I thought was reasonable, and for non-coffee options there's strawberry latte, matcha latte, grain latte, chocolate latte, and iced tea — plus a good variety of teas and ades!

You order through a kiosk.

Let me show you the bagels they had on the day I visited.

- Plain bagel ₩3,800
- Bacon bagel ₩5,500
- Green onion bagel ₩5,500
- Double cheese potato bagel ₩5,100
- Quattro cheese bagel ₩5,100
- Almond chocolate bagel ₩5,500
- Mocha bagel ₩5,300
- Pepperoni jalapeño bagel ₩6,100
They also have desserts like four kinds of financiers, chestnut pie, and honey rusk.

They said watermelon bingsu and peach bingsu were currently available, sandwiches were in the display case, and even items not shown in the case would be made fresh to order right away! Since we'd already eaten, we ordered one bingsu plus one bagel!
How do the peach bingsu and mocha bagel taste?

It looks like mango but it's actually peach bingsu! They piled the peach on generously so it looked amazing. All of Soon Terrace's bagels turned out to be this big and thick — they said it's because they're wood-fired bagels.

The peach bingsu had ice cream on top, and underneath, once you dig in, was snow-fluffy shaved ice that was genuinely delicious — good enough to eat plain, without the peach, honestly lol. The peach itself was a nicely firm, sweet variety.
Time to eat the mocha bagel.

It was hard to cut with a knife, so tearing it by hand was easier. A gentle coffee aroma spread through it, and it was shaped like a bun, which was a bagel form I'd never seen before. Crisp outside, chewy inside — a genuinely tasty bagel!
The flavor was the mocha taste I expected, so next time I definitely want to try the almond chocolate bagel or the fig cream cheese bagel. I'd go back.
