Lil' Burger The Hyundai Seoul is a handmade burger spot in the basement food court of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido. Whenever I'm in Yeouido I stop by The Hyundai Seoul at least once, and between shopping and wandering around you get hungry surprisingly fast, haha. This time I wanted a proper handmade burger, so I headed to Lil' Burger.

It's right inside the food court so it's super easy to reach, and the burger quality was much better than I expected. I was happy the whole way through the meal. I especially want to recommend the Cheeseburger, so let me go into detail.

The burgers are made right after you order, so they come out warm, and you can really taste the juicy patty and fresh ingredients. There are so many handmade burger places these days, but plenty of them are pricey and disappointing once you actually eat. Lil' Burger felt different from the first impression.

Above all, the biggest plus is that you can drop in casually while shopping. Getting a burger of this quality inside a department store was more satisfying than I expected.

It's great for burger lovers like me, but the atmosphere is also relaxed enough for family, friends or a date, so I think almost anyone will be happy here.

Lil' Burger is in the basement food court of The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido. It's good for a meal in the middle of shopping, and just as convenient after a movie or an exhibition. You don't have to go outside, so the route is really smooth too.

It's crowded on weekends, but turnover is fast so it didn't feel like a long wait. Ordering is easy and the food comes out faster than I expected, so time wasn't a worry.

If you're planning a date course in Yeouido, I can happily recommend it as a place to eat!!

Is The Hyundai Seoul food court okay for eating alone?

The basement food court at The Hyundai Seoul is bright and lively, and plenty of people eat solo, so going alone to Lil' Burger felt totally comfortable. I expected a food court to be just noisy, but the bright, lively mood was what stood out.

The ceiling is high so it doesn't feel stuffy, and there are plenty of tables, which made eating easy. Many restaurants are packed together so you smell all kinds of food, yet right in front of Lil' Burger the smell of butter and grilling meat was especially good, haha. It was also a nice place to rest while shopping.

At Lil' Burger I ordered the Classic Burger and the Cheeseburger, plus fries and sweet potato fries.

Classic Burger: true to the basics

The Lil' Burger Classic Burger stays true to the basics. The thick patty was full of juice, and the fresh vegetables and sauce came together nicely, so it was easy to enjoy.

It's the most basic burger and everything from patty to bun was perfect. Personally, though, the Cheeseburger stuck with me much more.

Cheeseburger: start here on a first visit

The Lil' Burger Cheeseburger is packed with cheese, so the richness hits the moment you take a bite, and it pairs so well with the patty. The cheese isn't overdone but really brings out the flavor, so I never got tired of it to the end.

I immediately understood why so many people recommend the Cheeseburger. If it's your first visit, don't overthink it and start with the Cheeseburger!!!

Lil' Burger sides: fries and sweet potato fries

The sides, fries and sweet potato fries, were satisfying too. The fries were crispy outside and moist inside, with solid basics, and the salty seasoning was just right.

The sweet potato fries had a lovely sweetness and went really well with the burger. The crispy texture kept me reaching for more, haha. If a burger alone feels like not enough, definitely add fries or sweet potato fries.
