Songdo Indian curry after work with parents: chana masala, Manokamana
In short
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is an Indian curry restaurant at Triple Street in Songdo, Yeonsu, Incheon. After work, the writer met their parents there, and the three of them ordered by QR in two rounds: three curries (butter chicken, chana masala and palak paneer), three kinds of naan and a chicken curry pasta. Open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 with no break time, Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is a go-to regular spot whenever an Indian curry craving hits.

Back to Manokamana at Songdo Triple Street as the weather heats up
Manokamana Triple Street Branch 2 is an Indian curry favorite inside Songdo Triple Street. As it got hotter, I headed back to Triple Street, where you can do everything indoors. I'd been out and about enjoying the nice weather and hadn't visited for a while, so naturally I ended up at my favorite Indian curry place, Manokamana, again.

Manokamana opening hours: daily 10:00-22:00, no break time
Manokamana is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 with no break time. It's been a while, Manokamana~ Since it's open late, it's always a good stop whenever you want Indian curry, whether for lunch, dinner or a snack.
Daily 10:00 ~ 22:00

A spur-of-the-moment Songdo meetup with my parents after work
My mom and dad love Manokamana too, so after work we suddenly met up in Songdo! hahahahahahaha
My dad is sitting in front of Patagonia telling me to hurry up...hahaha He says we need to eat Indian curry so come quickly, huhuhu I'm literally on my way straight from work...

Ordering by QR at Manokamana: what we got and the prices
At Manokamana you order curry by QR link as soon as you sit down. Here is what the three of us ate and the prices.
- Butter chicken ₩13,000
- Chana masala ₩11,500
- Palak paneer ₩11,500
- Chicken curry pasta ₩11,000
- Naan ₩2,500
- Butter naan ₩3,000
- Garlic naan ₩3,000
We ate all of that, but we ordered in 2 rounds, because naan and curry should be eaten warm~
Why we order à la carte instead of a set
My family loves curry so much that with a set we'd have to share one curry between two people, so we always order curry + naan + pasta à la carte. If you like tandoori chicken, the set is a better fit, so I'd recommend the set then.

Manokamana seating and how long meals take
For large groups at Manokamana it's better to reserve ahead, while the regular 2-4 person tables are plentiful and turn over quickly. It's a place for meals rather than drinking, so I'd guess people stay about an hour at most.
Welcome onion kimchi and jalapeños~ How does the staff scoop them up without getting any on the side? Looking at it now, it's amazing.
Round 1: butter chicken, chana masala, plain naan and butter naan
Naan fresh from the tandoor oven! The plain naan and my beloved butter naan arrived.

Both curries came out too~ Butter chicken, the most basic curry you'd feel sad skipping, and chana masala, which I'd never tried in all my visits because I've suddenly been into beans lately!

Plain naan or butter naan: which one?
Nobody could have mixed feelings about Manokamana's plain naan. Mild, crispy, chewy flatbread~

The butter naan is probably loved by nearly everyone, though people who hate getting their hands greasy might not like it. But it goes so well with a slightly spicy curry, so just wipe your hands and tear into it.

With the pasta out too, our first spread is complete! Let's eat, I'm hungry.
What does chana masala taste like? An Indian bean curry like chickpeas
Manokamana's chana masala is a curry with Indian beans called chana, and as the name masala suggests, it has a little spiciness. Some people tuck it between pieces of naan, but I just put it on top of the naan!
Chana beans taste and feel about like chickpeas in size. Delicious as is, and also nice and nutty when slightly mashed.

Is the chicken curry pasta a small portion?
I'd been wondering whether to order the chicken curry pasta (₩11,000) or not, but if you're wondering, you should eat it. I was totally satisfied.

The plate is small so you might think the portion is little, but there's quite a lot of pasta, plenty of cheese, and surprisingly big pieces of chicken.

At lunch it's hard to leisurely eat curry and naan (((I eat very slowly))), so a single chicken curry pasta would be perfect.

Butter chicken: how is it different from homemade?
At dinner you can take it easy with the curry~ Press the additional order button and enjoy the butter chicken until the next dish arrives.

Lately I even bought butter chicken curry at Costco and made it at home, but Manokamana's sweet, smooth flavor makes you admit that an Indian curry specialist is just different.

I'll eat an onion kimchi in the middle too!

Round 2: palak paneer (spinach curry) and garlic naan
Our second round of curry was palak paneer, a spinach curry, and garlic naan! hahahahaha When ordering only curry or only naan feels awkward, just order both~~~

The moment Manokamana's garlic naan arrives, a little garlic aroma drifts across the table, and it's a naan Koreans can't possibly dislike.
The spinach curry is one vegans would probably like! It has no heavy flavor, it's really light and tastes healthy.

It also has quite a lot of cottage-style Indian cheese (paneer), and I was amazed that it doesn't melt and stretch like mozzarella but keeps its square shape and flavor even alongside the hot curry.

Three curries, three naans and a pasta for three people: clean plates
And our plates, wiped clean hahaha The two naan plates had already been cleared away! Three people, 3 curries, 3 naans and a curry pasta hahahaha This photo really shows how good Manokamana is.

Manokamana means 'hope' in Indian (Nepali). I look it up every time I go but always forget, so next time I'll remember. Which means there's a next time hahahaha Of course there is,,, I go even when I'm not blogging hahaha By now the owner probably knows my face.
