Engine oil and brake fluid in one visit at Smile Auto, Mansu-dong
This time I got my engine oil change and brake fluid change done in one go at Smile Auto (스마일자동차공업사) in Mansu-dong, Incheon. I'm back again today 😊 I've written about this place before, but the staff had actually been telling me since my last visit to replace the brake fluid, so this time I made up my mind: let's definitely do it! haha
The engine oil this time: Castrol Magnatec SN C3
I picked Castrol Magnatec SN C3 for the engine oil this time. Last time I used Hyundai Oilbank XTeer, but I'd been using the same product every time and thought I'd try something different, so I talked it over with the Smile Auto staff first.
They told me Castrol Magnatec is great at preventing engine wear and suits low-fuel-consumption cars too. The SN C3 grade is also suitable for cars with a DPF (diesel particulate filter), so it fits most modern cars, they said. It's the shop I always go to, so I just trust them haha.
How much is an engine oil change at Smile Auto in Incheon?
At Smile Auto, an engine oil change with a basic product starts in the ₩60,000s, and premium oils like Castrol Magnatec are in the ₩70,000–80,000 range. Brake fluid change, finally done
On my last visit, Smile Auto told me to replace the brake fluid within 2–3 months, and this time I finally did it!! Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which can reduce braking power.
When it rains the roads get slippery, so the condition of your brakes matters even more, right? After the change, the brakes felt much firmer? I felt pretty proud of myself haha.
Every time I visit, Smile Auto checks the overall condition of the car and points out when something is due, so for a car newbie like me it's a really reassuring place 💕
Free engine bay cleaning and washer fluid top-up
After the oil change, Smile Auto also cleaned my engine bay. There was dust and even foreign stuff like fallen leaves in there, but after cleaning it was spotless ✨ And it was a free service, which I loved.
The washer fluid refill was a free service too~! All these little extras add up, so considering the oil price, the value for money is honestly the best.

Smile Auto has a lounge, so I waited comfortably while they worked. There are drinks and the sofas are cozy, so the wait wasn't boring at all. Even if you come alone, you can wait comfortably haha.
