Where is Low Five Anguk?
Low Five Anguk is a pizza restaurant at 20-3 Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (1st floor), 188 m from Exit 2 of Anguk Station on Line 3. It was a day when I really soaked up Bukchon's quiet, traditional atmosphere!! I was wandering around Bukchon not long ago and found an all-time great pizza place whose exterior alone grabbed my eyes!

I fell for the exotic mood first, then fell again for the one-of-a-kind taste of the signature dish, so I'm 100% coming back. Let me tell you all about my time at Low Five Anguk, an Instagram-worthy pizza spot in Bukchon!
Red-brick exterior: a photo spot even foreigners love

Low Five Anguk is known for its red-brick facade as a photo spot, so the moment I arrived at the door I couldn't stop pressing the shutter. That red-brick look is totally my taste.. haha It felt like a hip pizzeria down some European alley.

Sure enough, every person walking by stopped to take tons of photos. While eating I looked outside and saw foreign tourists happily taking souvenir shots too, and it was so cute.
Waiting at Low Five Anguk: do you need a Catch Table reservation?

I recommend booking Low Five Anguk in advance through the Catch Table app. I'd heard this Bukchon pizza place has a wait, so I quickly opened Catch Table and made a reservation before going! Aiming for the slightly awkward time of 1:30 PM on a weekday meant I could walk in with no wait, which is a nice waiting tip!!
Still, once I got inside, even though lunchtime was well past, only 1 or 2 empty tables were left. It's an Anguk Station hotspot that will surely have a wait on weekends and at peak times, so I recommend booking ahead on Catch Table and going with a relaxed mind!
What we ordered at Low Five Anguk

At Low Five Anguk that day I ordered the signature items: corn pizza, truffle pasta, Caesar salad and coffee. Led by the corn pizza, the unrivaled bestseller, I ordered a generous spread with the truffle pasta and Caesar salad.

Coffee instead of beer, for a brunch mood
I wanted a brunch mood instead of beer, so I paired it all with coffee, and oh, the coffee at Low Five Anguk was a huge serving with great bean flavor! The logo cup it comes in is trendy and pretty too, totally my taste!!!

Caesar salad that comes already tossed in sauce
The Caesar salad came out first. What I really liked was that the sauce was already evenly tossed, so it was so easy to scoop onto my small plate!

What does the signature corn pizza taste like?
Low Five Anguk's corn pizza is a sweet-and-salty pizza of chodang corn (super-sweet corn) sprinkled with savory seasoning, and the wood-fired dough is the key. The signature corn pizza I was most excited about, the hot pizza near Anguk Station, arrived!!! Ahh, it's brutal just to look at..

The sweet, crunchy chodang corn kernels pop in your mouth, and with the salty seasoning on top you get the perfect sweet-and-salty combo. Above all, the dough fresh from the wood-fired oven was amazing. Crisp outside and chewy inside, it was bewitching dough that makes you finish even the crust ends without any sauce. Once you taste it, you'll see why the corn pizza is the signature!!

Truffle pasta: a cream sauce great for dipping pizza dough
Low Five Anguk's truffle pasta is defined by its truffle aroma and thick, rich cream sauce. Next came the truffle pasta!! The moment it was served, a luxurious truffle scent hit my nose, and it had already passed on aroma alone.

The noodle doneness and chew were excellent, and the thick cream sauce soaked right into the noodles, so dipping pizza dough in this sauce was insanely good too.👍🏻

Low Five Anguk for a date or a get-together?
Low Five Anguk was a Bukchon pizza place that was really great for a date while eating soul-healing food that spoils your mouth. For a special anniversary date with a partner or a happy get-together with friends you haven't seen in a while, I don't think it gets better than this.
