Pork rib restaurant in Luwon City with a patio: Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi
In short
Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi Luwon City branch is a pork rib (jjokgalbi) restaurant in Luwon City, Seo-gu, Incheon. The writer sat on the outdoor patio with their parents and ordered 2 servings of seasoned pork ribs, 1 serving of salt-grilled Duri ribs, a nostalgic lunchbox and a rice ball, all served fully grilled with thick meat already taken off the bone. Because the seasoning isn't spicy, Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi is an easy, stress-free choice for a family meal out.

What is Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi Luwon City branch?
Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi Luwon City branch (곽두리쪽갈비 루원시티점) is a pork rib restaurant in Luwon City, Incheon. It's on the 2nd floor, and there's an outdoor terrace outside too. Today I went to this Luwon City rib place, haha! It's a Luwon City spot where you can enjoy the open-air patio and tasty ribs at the same time, haha!
I loved the great atmosphere and the breeze while I ate. I went with my parents, and they were so happy, saying "I can't believe a place like this exists!" T_T And they said the ribs were so good, haha!

Do you grill the pork ribs yourself on the patio?
If you sit at the patio seats at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi, you don't grill over charcoal yourself, because the ribs come out already grilled. Even better..!!! The weather was nice, so I sat outside, which is partly why I chose it, haha.

The inside has lots of seats too, and the place is spacious, which is comfortable. If you want to grill the ribs yourself over charcoal, sit inside.

What's on the menu at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi?
The menu is very simple. In my experience, places with a menu like this have amazing flavor, haha! Duri ribs (두리쪽갈비) are the salt-grilled ones, and there are also spicy ribs, soy sauce ribs and more, haha.

For people who can't eat spicy food there are sweet ribs, and there's cheese spicy ribs too, which sounds like a great pairing. Spicy ribs with cheese.. places like this were a huge trend before, and I hope it comes back..!!

The side menu had spicy kimchi sujebi (hand-pulled dough soup), fire ramyeon and bomb steamed egg... My mom really wanted the spicy kimchi sujebi, but

we settled for the lunchbox and rice ball instead, haha! I think a rice ball is a must with ribs..!!!

Which side dishes come free with the ribs?
The default dish at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi is beondegi (silkworm pupae), haha! Nutty, chewy and a taste of nostalgia T_T

Two kinds of sauce come out, haha! You dip the salt-grilled ribs in them.

Ssamjang (seasoned dipping paste), onion, carrot and so on come out too, haha!

Seaweed soup comes too, haha! Having hot broth alongside is really nice T_T

It's dried pollack seaweed soup, so it's packed with big pieces of pollack, haha!
What's the 5,000 won nostalgic lunchbox like?
The nostalgic lunchbox (추억의 도시락) at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi is ₩5,000, and it's loaded: two old-style sausages, a freshly fried egg, anchovies, kimchi and crumbled seaweed. I couldn't resist the nostalgic lunchbox and ordered it right away.

Mixed up, it's this generous, haha! It goes so well with the ribs T_T The seasoning soaks in well and there's so much in it, so I really want you to order this lunchbox.
How much meat is on the seasoned ribs and Duri ribs?
I ordered 2 servings of seasoned ribs and 1 serving of Duri ribs at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi. The meat is already pulled off the bone so it's easy to eat, and it's really thick T_T

The seasoned and salt-grilled ribs come out separated like this, haha!

Every single rib has the meat pulled off like this, and the size is huge, right???

You just separate this part and pull it right off, haha!

The size is big and there's so much meat, I was totally moved, haha!

The seasoned ribs are just the meat pulled off too, and look how plump they are T_T So, so delicious, and I had a really filling meal, haha!

There was so much meat that I ordered a rice ball again at the end, haha!
Is Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi in Luwon City worth a return visit?
I was surprised by how much rib meat there was at Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi Luwon City branch, and the best part was that everything was already pulled off the bone, so it's easy to eat. The seasoned ribs had a sweet sauce without any spice, so they're easy to enjoy.
You can also eat ribs on the patio, which is perfect for weather like this. It's a Luwon City restaurant where I ate until I was full and happy. If you're looking for a Luwon City restaurant or a BBQ place in Luwon City, I fully recommend Gwak Duri Jjokgalbi Luwon City branch.
