Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters AK Plaza Suwon (정지영커피로스터즈 AK플라자수원점) is on the 3rd floor of AK Plaza Suwon, which connects to Suwon Station. This Suwon Station café gave me a truly complete rest in the middle of a busy day, so I wanted to introduce it.

Jeong Ji-young Coffee started in Haenggung-dong, Suwon, and has become one of the city's signature roastery cafés. I heard it had a branch inside AK Plaza and had wanted to go for a while, and I finally made it!

The location is great for meeting up, and the parking lot is big, so there's no parking worry either.

What is the atmosphere like at this Suwon Station window-view café?

One entire wall of the shop is glass, so it's a big space with a wide-open view stretching into the distance. 🪟 That airy openness and the big-window view were the café's biggest charm.

Gazing out through the windows, I felt all the stress and stuffiness from work wash away at once. Right in the middle of crowded, busy Suwon Station, there's a calm, quiet view hiding away, and that really won me over. Just sitting in a window seat and staring blankly outside was a great healing break.

The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the overwhelming sense of openness. Cafés inside department stores are often cramped, a bit stuffy and crowded, but this one was completely different. The shop is very large and comfortable, and with a whole wall of windows, the visual freshness was something else.

You can choose your beans here, so I ordered an iced coffee with an acidic bean. 🍋 I really felt the leisure of a cup of coffee with a bright acidity.

The moment my coffee came and I took a sip, I couldn't help thinking, "No wonder this place is famous for coffee." The pleasant acidity filling my mouth was never too much or sharp and piercing; it lingered softly and gently on the tip of my tongue. The balance of bright berry notes and a clean aftertaste with no harsh dryness was really excellent.

It finishes light and refreshing without any heaviness, so it was absolutely perfect as an iced coffee full of ice. With the cool view outside the window alongside each fragrant sip, it felt like I'd found my own small, peaceful oasis in the busy city.

Is it a good café for a break while shopping at AK Plaza?

Since it's inside the department store, it's a good place to rest while shopping, and the roomy table spacing suits both conversation and time alone. I thought it was the ideal spot to enjoy shopping and a rest at once.

Being inside AK Plaza Suwon, the easy access and convenience are also big pluses. When your legs ache and tiredness hits while browsing the department store, I can't think of a better place to drop in and recharge.

The tables inside are spaced widely, so you're not bothered much by other tables' conversations. That makes it good for a cozy chat with company, and also a great setting for quiet time alone or catching up on your diary. I think it's worth recommending as a Suwon coffee spot.

My time at Jeong Ji-young Coffee Roasters Suwon AK was a precious rest that reminded me again of the power of quality specialty coffee and a wide, comfortable space. I fully enjoyed the small but sure happiness a good cup of coffee brings.

If you're near Suwon Station and looking for a roomy space that doesn't feel stuffy, a refreshing wall-length window view, and above all coffee of great quality that you can choose to suit your taste, I strongly recommend visiting. Thanks to the relaxed feel of the space, my mood kept improving the whole time I stayed; it felt like a magical place. Next time I'll have to come back and try a nutty blend bean or the sweet desserts too!
