Hwasun flower café with takeout vanilla latte and oranda: Route 7-7

I had some business in Hwasun today, and once I was done I wanted a coffee, so I searched for cafés nearby and spotted a pretty flower café — so I went to check it out! It's in Hwasun-eup, close to Donggu Lake Park (동구리 호수공원), which makes it a nice light stop after a walk. This is Route 7-7, a Hwasun café.

Where is Route 7-7 and where do you park?

This is the exterior of Route 7-7, a Hwasun café in South Jeolla Province. It sits right on the road and doesn't have its own lot, but if you go into the alley on the left side of the building, there's roadside parking available.

Even before stepping inside, the place already feels packed with flowers and potted plants~

Route 77, this Hwasun café, is filled throughout with flowers and plants, giving it a fresh, lush feel along with a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Potted plants decorate every corner, so it's fun just to look around, and it's a great café to sit comfortably and chat.

There's comfortable sofa seating too, which was lovely, and the seats are spacious and generous, making it a good spot for group visits. The whole space felt roomy.

With big and small trees and flowers everywhere, it felt like stepping into a botanical garden haha. The colorful, vivid palette gave the interior an energetic, lively feel!

Route 7-7 menu and desserts

This is the menu board at Route 7-7, a Hwasun café in South Jeolla Province. There's a truly wide selection — coffee, lattes, ades, tea, bingsu (shaved ice dessert) — and plenty of health teas that older folks would enjoy, so I thought it'd be nice to bring my parents here next time.

The desserts looked so tempting, all lined up. From baked cookies to various cakes, plus all sorts of bakery items and even handmade oranda! I heard oranda sells well as a Chuseok gift set, and I was curious too, so I bought some individually haha.

Bouquets and potted plants for sale at Route 7-7

Since Route 77 is a flower café, it also sells made-to-order bouquets, and just like a real flower shop, the atmosphere was bright and cheerful — the owner was really kind too!

Right when you open the door and walk in, this is the first thing you see — congratulatory wreaths, housewarming gift plants, and various potted plants all growing healthily. It really seemed like they take good care of them.

Going further in, the space is divided into private-feeling sections, and coffee prices are cheaper than other cafés, so it seemed like a Hwasun café you can enjoy comfortably without much burden.

How the vanilla latte and handmade oranda tasted

Who knew a café this full of atmosphere existed in Hwasun haha. I considered staying to drink it there, but the timing was a bit awkward, so I ordered takeout and waited a little while~

They handed me the coffee and dessert I ordered~ I'd had a lecture that morning and was craving something sweet, so a vanilla latte sounded perfect — and the moment I took a sip, that rich, smooth vanilla scent hit my head, so good! It went well with the coffee's slight bitterness, and it wasn't overly sweet, so it was nice to sip slowly for a long time.

The handmade oranda made with dried fruit was ₩2,500 each, a great price for gifting or just snacking. I kept it in the car and had it with the coffee — it was surprisingly filling too, and I really enjoyed it haha.
