Gwangju Korean restaurant for zucchini stew gukbap: Gujeon Gukbap

Gujeon Gukbap Yongbong Main Branch is a 24-hour Korean restaurant open every day near the Jeoncheollo intersection in Yongbong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju. The zucchini stew (aehobak jjigae) arrives as a gukbap with the rice already in the broth and a generous amount of meat, while the self-serve bar sets out spicy kimchi, perilla powder and chojang. With no break time, Gujeon Gukbap works just as well for a late lunch, a night snack or a hangover cure.

Gwangju dog-friendly meat restaurant: ₩50,000 set at Ju Myeongdang

Ju Myeongdang (주명당 심야식당) is a late-night meat restaurant with private rooms in Dongmyeong-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju. Three people shared the ₩50,000 Auntie's Table set, which came with japchae, kimchi jjigae, bibimbap and several cuts of meat already grilled, so nobody had to cook at the table. Ju Myeongdang also allows dogs and covers 1 hour of parking at the National Asia Culture Center lot, making it an easy dinner spot in Dongmyeong-dong.
