Sunset café in Uijeongbu with apple chamomile and lemongrass: Forerest
Forerest is a large, forest-feel café with an outdoor lawn and terrace in Nogyang-dong, Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. On a late weekday afternoon a party of three — the writer, her mother and her child — took a window-view seat at Forerest and ordered a decaf americano, apple chamomile and lemongrass teas, plus original and chocolate Basque cheesecakes. The original Basque melted more softly than the chocolate, and the sunset light was lovely, though you should come prepared for mosquitoes.
