I visited Beorn Hair Cheongdam (비오른헤어 청담점), a Cheongdam-dong hair salon near Gangnam-gu Office Station. Lately my hair had been damaged and dry, and it looked messy, so I felt I really needed some care and went in! I heard the designers here have more than 10 years of experience, which made me even more excited haha

Beorn Hair Cheongdam is at 710 Seolleung-ro, 2nd floor, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is open 09:30 to 20:00 Monday and Wednesday through Sunday, and closed on Tuesdays. Valet parking is available for ₩4,000, and they accept local currency and Zero Pay, and pets are welcome.
How to get to Beorn Hair Cheongdam from Gangnam-gu Office Station
Walk about 5 minutes from Exit 3-1 of Gangnam-gu Office Station, cross the crosswalk, and the salon is right there on the 2nd floor! It's close to the station, so access was great haha. They also offer valet parking if you come by car, so it looks easy to visit.
What is the inside of Beorn Hair Cheongdam like?
When you walk in, the staff greet you kindly. They had me put my belongings in a locker and showed me straight to my seat.
There were all kinds of hair products on display.
The salon is spacious and neat overall, with plenty of room between seats, which felt comfortable. Thanks to that, I didn't feel cramped during the long treatment!
There were lots of fashion magazines so the time doesn't drag, and every seat has an outlet too. Nice, nice!
The shampoo area was pleasant and comfortable too!
Magic setting for damaged long hair with designer Seonjun
At Beorn Hair Cheongdam, I got an end trim and a magic setting from designer Seonjun.
Before the treatment started, they set out a drink and a light snack. They were small, tidy cookies you can pop right into your mouth, which I liked!
Between dyeing, a perm a year ago and general damage, my ends were frizzy, split and messy, heh. So we decided to trim the ends and do a magic setting.
When I described the style I wanted... even though I explained it terribly, she understood perfectly haha. I could feel that designer Seonjun was very meticulous and delicate in her care.
How long did the long-hair magic setting take?
The long-hair magic setting took about 3 hours in total at Beorn Hair Cheongdam. A magic setting usually takes much longer for me, but maybe because designer Seonjun works fast, it finished earlier than I expected.
My first side bangs: how did they turn out?
Designer Seonjun recommended side bangs, so I cut them for the first time, and I was really satisfied! The hair at my sides always bothered me because it looked messy, but now it's definitely neat and my face looks smaller. Love it! They especially suit me when I tie my hair up.
The style came out exactly the way I wanted, and I was so happy. My hair looks so much neater now haha. She also explained how to style it very easily. Even clumsy me could follow along!
