Indoor play center in Nowon: Sky Trail jitters and Sky Glider at Jump

In short

Jump is a large indoor play center at 102 Hangeulbiseok-ro near Hagye Station in Nowon, Seoul, with an Adventure Zone on the 1st floor and play areas on the 2nd. On a weekend all-day pass with the Nowon resident discount, the writer tried laser tag, Clip 'n Climb, the Sky Trail, the Sky Glider and the Super Challenge, and was so frightened on the Sky Trail that an elementary schooler asked, "Are you scared too, ma'am?" Jump in Nowon kept the day exciting from start to finish, and the Sky Glider is worth riding two or three times.

What is Jump in Nowon?

Jump is a large indoor play facility at 102 Hangeulbiseok-ro, Nowon-gu, Seoul. It is open 10:00–18:00, closed on Mondays, and has parking. It is an indoor spot in Seoul with attractions and adventure activities, so it also works well for an unusual date, and Nowon residents get a 30% discount. In one line: it was so much fun that I honestly have no complaints.

Getting to Jump in Nowon and weekend parking

I visited Jump, a big play facility in Nowon! The building is huge and stands out from far away, so even on my first visit I found it easily without getting lost. There is plenty of parking in front of and across from the building, so it's easy if you come by car.

Exterior of Jump in Nowon and the nearby parking

Maybe because it's run by Nowon-gu, the exterior looks neat and well kept, which made me feel I could play without worrying about hygiene or safety! I went on a weekend and the parking lot was full, so I was guided to the lot across the street. I liked that there were several staff members helping with parking.

There's also an indoor map of Jump. There are quite a lot of rides, so I recommend checking the map before you go!

On the 1st floor there is a kids' café for little children. There is also a gift shop and a staircase leading up to the food court on the 2nd floor.

Jump prices and how to get the Nowon resident discount

Jump's admission is charged by the hour, and Nowon residents can get a discount by showing proof of residence. As soon as you walk in, you see the 1st-floor counter and a price board that's easy to read at a glance.

The tip you absolutely must know is the Nowon resident discount!

  • How to get it: show an ID, a resident registration copy or any document proving you live in Nowon

I used an all-day pass, and thanks to the discount it cost less than I had expected. The counter staff also explained how to use the facility and the safety rules very kindly, so I went in feeling good.

When you buy a ticket, you get a wristband. You scan the QR code on it to enter and scan it again when you leave.

Jump 1st floor, right side: warming up in the sponge pit

The right side of Jump's 1st floor is the area with a wide bouncing space and a sponge pit. It was the first place I went after getting in.

The bouncing space is big and divided into zones, so even with lots of people I could have fun without worrying about bumping into anyone. Throwing myself into the soft sponge pit like a dive was so much fun that I spent a long time here, sweating away. If you want to burn off energy and relieve stress, I recommend starting your warm-up on this right side!

How scary is the Sky Trail in Jump's 1st-floor Adventure Zone?

The Sky Trail (high-altitude walk) in Jump's 1st-floor Adventure Zone is a course set up in mid-air like stepping stones, and it is far more dizzying than I expected. The Adventure Zone is packed with real thrills, from the Battle Drift Kart to Clip 'n Climb (indoor rock climbing), so now the real fun begins!

And here comes the highlight of the day and a truly laugh-and-cry episode... When I took on the Sky Trail, the stepping-stone course in the air on the 1st floor, I climbed up all confident at first, but once I looked down I got so scared I started shaking! I couldn't go forward at all, so I was clinging to a pillar and flailing, and an elementary school kid passing by stared at me and asked, "Are you scared too, ma'am?"... 😂 I was embarrassed and it was so funny that I laughed for a long time. It's scarier than it looks, so mentally prepare yourself before going up!

Clip 'n Climb indoor climbing at Jump: about 28 minutes a session

Jump's Clip 'n Climb lasts about 28 minutes per session, and a staff member attaches the safety gear every time. Besides the Sky Trail, the 1st floor has loads to do, including Clip 'n Climb (indoor rock climbing) and a kids' ground with trampolines and a sponge pit where small children can bounce safely.

Clip 'n Climb lets you try various climbing walls and it was so much fun. Up high it was half scary, half thrilling. Since the staff connect the safety gear every time, I felt even safer.

Laser tag on the left side of Jump's 1st floor

In the left area of Jump's 1st floor you can play laser tag, where teams battle in a dark maze set. After sweating on the right side, I moved over to the left to try it!

With flashy lights and tense music inside the dark, maze-like set, I felt like the hero of a sci-fi movie. You wear a special vest, hold a laser gun and sneak around to tag the other team. It was more thrilling than I expected and a huge workout too, haha. Since you play in teams, my competitive spirit naturally fired up and I got totally absorbed without noticing the time. Definitely try laser tag!!!!!

Is the Battle Drift Kart included in Jump admission?

Jump's Battle Drift Kart is not included in the admission ticket and needs a separate payment. It was the "Battle Drift Kart" I had been looking forward to since before my visit! It's a kart racing course that speeds along a huge indoor track a full 380 m long.

The track is built in 3D, so the sense of height is considerable, and I'm told you drift smoothly every time you swing around a corner, with a great feeling of speed! It costs extra, but it's so much fun that I recommend trying it, haha.

What's on Jump's 2nd floor?

Jump's 2nd floor has several sections including the Sky Glider, Play Interactive and Super Challenge, plus rest areas. After using up my energy on the 1st floor I went upstairs, and the 2nd floor was full of thrilling, super fun attractions too. The most eye-catching was definitely the Sky Glider (aerial glide), where you fly thrillingly across the indoor air. The rush of whooshing through the air blew away all my built-up stress.

Play Interactive: VR-based games at Jump

The "VR-based Play Interactive" area on Jump's 2nd floor is where you play lively games in virtual reality, and adults and kids alike get totally absorbed. Each space has different games, and I lost track of time trying one after another.

Is the Sky Glider less scary than the Sky Trail?

The clear highlight of Jump's 2nd-floor rides was the Sky Glider (aerial glide), and it was much less scary than the Sky Trail and more thrilling. You put on the safety gear carefully and hang from a rail on the ceiling, whooshing through the indoor air of the theme park like an indoor zipline.

I was a little nervous before starting, but once I was flying through the air, I could look down at the whole 1st-floor Adventure Zone below, and the view was amazing! It was also much faster than I expected, and with the wind hitting my face, all my built-up stress felt blasted away.

The Sky Trail on the 1st floor was scary, but on the Sky Glider the safety gear holds your body firmly, so it was thrilling and fun rather than frightening. You really get the feeling of flying, so if you go to Jump, I strongly recommend riding the Sky Glider two or three times!

Super Challenge: off the obstacle course in 1 second

Jump's Super Challenge is a course where you get through giant obstacles like the ones on TV variety shows, and it is quietly difficult because it takes full-body strength. Another place that really fired up my competitive streak was the "Super Challenge" course on the 1st floor! As the name says, it's an activity where you try the obstacles you only see on TV variety shows (like Dream Team or Ninja Warrior!). You cross wobbly stepping stones, hang from ropes and dodge obstacles by a hair, so you have to use your whole body's strength.

I started lightly thinking "this is nothing!", but it took a huge amount of energy. Just hanging on was hard, and I couldn't last even 1 second before dropping...haha If you're confident in your stamina or reflexes, I strongly recommend giving Super Challenge a try at Jump.

Taking a break in Jump's 2nd-floor food court

Jump's 2nd floor has a spacious food lounge where you can rest and have a snack between activities. After playing hard, you can rest with tasty snacks in the big food lounge on the 2nd floor, before the counter, so the flow was perfect for pacing your energy.

Jump in Nowon was the best indoor play space, with no dull moment all day long from the 1st floor to the 2nd!!! Had a great time today!
