What kind of restaurant is Friends Club in Jeonpo?
Friends Club is a Western restaurant tucked into an alley in Jeonpo, Busan, with a wide menu: pasta, fresh-pasta lasagna, risotto and steak. I'd saved it while hunting for Jeonpo eats, and I finally made it there this time 😊
It's bigger than I expected and the inside is spacious, so the moment I walked in I thought, "Oh? This is better than I thought!" It's known as a Jeonpo pasta spot, but the menu is varied enough that people seem to come for Jeonpo dates and family meals too. If you're looking for a Western restaurant in Jeonpo, it's worth a visit at least once.
What are the interior and seating like at Friends Club?

The tables inside Friends Club are generously spaced, so it feels open. High chairs are available and pets are allowed too. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that airy feeling.
Plenty of restaurants around Jeonpo have surprisingly tight seating, but here the tables are well spaced and nothing felt cramped. I can see why people come for wedding invitation get-togethers and family meals. It suits all kinds of guests. For a date it isn't too noisy and the mood is relaxed, so it looked fine as a Seomyeon date spot too.
Friends Club menu and what we ordered

True to a Jeonpo Western restaurant, the menu is really varied.
- Pasta
- Fresh-pasta lasagna
- Risotto
- Steak
- Salad
With so many choices, a group could order a bunch of dishes and share.

Here's what we ordered. One note: pickles aren't served by default at Friends Club, so you have to ask for them.
- Confit mushroom & cheese risotto (₩18,000)
- Classic Bolognese fresh-pasta lasagna (₩16,000)
- Mini salad (review event)

Confit mushroom & cheese risotto: how strong is the truffle?
The confit mushroom & cheese risotto (₩18,000) at Friends Club has a truffle aroma that doesn't overpower, and the ricotta makes it soft and smooth. One bite and I thought, "Wow, what is this?"
The truffle goes really well with the mushroom flavor, and the ricotta adds tenderness. Truffle risotto can be all aroma and get tiresome fast, but this one is really well balanced. The rice is cooked just right so it keeps its texture, and the thick-yet-moist feel kept me going back for more.
One of the best risottos I've ever had!!! Seriously, if you visit, order this. Friends Club is known as a Jeonpo pasta spot, but the risotto stuck with me more 😂

What does the classic Bolognese fresh-pasta lasagna taste like?
The classic Bolognese fresh-pasta lasagna (₩16,000) at Friends Club uses house-made pasta sheets, so it's softer and moister than ordinary lasagna, and the ragù has a rich meaty flavor. Honestly, there aren't that many places selling fresh-pasta lasagna, so I got curious and ordered it, and I'm happy I did!
The tomato acidity isn't strong, so it was easy to eat. Sauce fills the layers of pasta, so every bite felt rich. Personally, if the risotto was number one, the lasagna was number two. Ordering both is a combo you won't regret.

Free mini salad with the review event
The mini salad at Friends Club came from a review event, and the quality was better than I expected. It's nice as a light starter before the mains and cuts the richness, so it went well with everything else we ordered.

Who is Friends Club in Jeonpo best for?
I'd recommend Friends Club for a Jeonpo date, a family meal, or anyone after fresh-pasta lasagna, and I'd give it 4 out of 5 for a repeat visit. It was so good that I cleaned my plate 🤤
