Gyeongju Bomun tea house: set for two on Goryeo celadon at Bibibidang

Bibibidang Gyeongju is a tea café run by a traditional tea ceremony brand, inside an art museum in the Bomun Tourist Complex in Gyeongju. After seeing the exhibition, two friends ordered the set for two: pumpkin bingsu, magnolia tea and 4 pieces of assorted dasik (traditional tea confections). Learning that some of the plates were 700-year-old Goryeo celadon made the visit nerve-wracking and special. Bibibidang Gyeongju is a good place to slow down and enjoy tea culture on a Gyeongju trip.

Busan Beach Train café after a Haeparang Trail walk: Suwolgyeonghwa

Suwolgyeonghwa (수월경화) is an ocean-view traditional tea café in Songjeong, Haeundae, Busan, overlooking the Beach Train. On a day trip, the writer and a best friend walked the Haeparang Trail from Cheongsapo to Songjeong, then stopped at Suwolgyeonghwa for Jeju Breeze tea made with hallabong (Jeju citrus), a hot coffee and the signature Dalbodeure Box dessert, watching the sea and the trains from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Suwolgyeonghwa fits naturally into a Haeparang Trail walk and is a quiet place for tea with views of the sea and the Beach Train.
