Sindang Jungang Market Korean restaurant: 3 best dishes at Gyeryugwan

Gyeryugwan is an oak wood-fired Korean restaurant in the Jungang Market alley by Sindang Station in Jung-gu, Seoul. Every table at Gyeryugwan was already full before 5pm, so the order was the three best dishes: oak wood-fired chicken with neunggi mushroom at 23,000 won, chicken feet in broth at 15,000 won, and chicken neck tangsuyuk (sweet and sour) at 15,000 won. All three were solid, making Gyeryugwan a place worth going back to.

Ssuk's Choco Pie Seoul is a bakery inside Gwangjang Market in Jongno, Seoul, selling refrigerated fresh choco pies made with mugwort (ssuk). From Exit 8 of Jongno 5-ga Station, the Gwangjang Market entrance leads straight ahead to the shop's green signboard on the left, where a 6-piece gift set cost 24,400 won and included Sea Breeze Mugwort with Whole Red Bean, Nonsan Strawberry, and Geomundo Sea Breeze Mugwort. Geomundo Sea Breeze Mugwort was the clear favorite, its mugwort bitterness reining in the sweetness.
