Sinnonhyeon date restaurant, ₩66,700 Brie Set & spicy vongole: Brivit

Today I'm writing about Brivit Gangnam Station, a Western restaurant I'd recommend as a Gangnam date spot and a blind date spot. 🍝🥩 My boyfriend and I were on a weekend date in Gangnam, looking for a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and we stumbled on this place. Short version: the food is good, the mood is good and the prices are reasonable, so I think it would work really well for a blind date or a wedding invitation meetup too.

Where is Brivit Gangnam Station?

Brivit Gangnam Station is on Gangnam-daero 102-gil, between Gangnam Station and Sinnonhyeon Station, and it felt a bit closer to Sinnonhyeon Station. Come out of Sinnonhyeon Station Exit 6, go straight, pass the CGV, turn left and walk a little further and you'll find it. 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️ It's in the building right next to Kobe Gyukatsu!

The pink brick exterior stands out even from far away, so Brivit was easy to find. 💗

It looks like a little house from a fairytale, doesn't it? 🏡 Even in the middle of Gangnam it has a cute, cozy feel, and the entrance alone put me in a good mood.

What are the atmosphere and seating like at Brivit Gangnam Station?

The first thing I noticed when we walked in was how relaxed the whole place feels. There are seats where you sit side by side facing the window, and plenty of tables where you sit across from each other.

There are terrace-style seats at the back too, and the mood there was pretty nice. 🌿 What I liked most was how comfortable the inside was! It was a hot day, but the air conditioning was working well, so we could eat in comfort.

The tables aren't spaced super far apart, but compared with other Western restaurants around Gangnam Station it was perfectly decent. Chatting on our date wasn't uncomfortable at all.

How ordering works at Brivit Gangnam Station

When you sit down, staff bring you a menu and a call bell. Once you've decided what to order, you press the bell and a staff member comes over.

What's in the Brivit Brie Set for two, and how much is it?

Brivit Gangnam Station serves a range of Western dishes, including salads, pasta, gnocchi and steak.

After some deliberation, we ordered the Brie Set for two (₩66,700). The Brie Set includes the Brivit steak, a main dish, a side dish and 2 drinks.

For two people it lets you try a variety of dishes and still leave full, so it's perfect as a date menu. It looked easy to share naturally on a blind date too, which makes it even better. 💌

How was the food in the Brivit Brie Set?

🥗 Greek yogurt & tomato salad

The Greek yogurt & tomato salad came out first! Fresh tomatoes and Greek yogurt went together much better than I expected. It really did its job of getting the appetite going.

Personally it reminded me of a brunch plate with fruit, Greek yogurt and olive oil. A nice light start before the main dishes!

🍝 Spicy vongole oil pasta: spicier than expected

The spicy vongole (clam) oil pasta was my favorite dish of the day! Honestly I think it was the best vongole pasta I've had recently. The clams were in good shape, there was no gritty sand, and I couldn't smell any fishiness at all.

And this pasta is quite spicy, by the way! 🌶🌶 At first I thought "wow, deliciously spicy," but as I kept eating it got hotter than I expected and I was a little surprised. Still, that heat actually went really well with the steak.

🥩 Brivit steak: no choice of doneness

The Brivit steak had good meat and was cooked just right, so it was nice alongside the pasta. That said, you can't choose the doneness, which some people might find a shame.

They also put cheese on top of the steak, which gives it a really rich, nutty flavor. 🧀 Taking a bite of steak after the spicy vongole was such a good combination.

🌱 Brivit's cute touch: beets in every dish

One fun thing about visiting Brivit is that beets ("beet" in Korean is "비트") are used in every dish. Maybe because it ties in with the restaurant's name, the whole place felt like it had one concept woven through it.

Is Brivit Gangnam Station good for a date or blind date in Gangnam?

Overall Brivit Gangnam Station was a safe pick with high satisfaction. The food is good, the mood is good, the location is good, the price is reasonable 💰 and above all it's a great place to talk, so I'd recommend it for a blind date or a date.
