Today I'm introducing Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch, a restaurant in Namyangju Dasan 🔥 I visited yesterday with my Moon-ajossi friend while out and about in Namyangju, and it was cheap and the meat quality was great?! Places like this I can't keep to myself, so I wanted to share it with you all too. Near Exit 6 of Dasan Station, parking at MH Tower ground lot

Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch is located near Exit 6 of Dasan Station, and it's close to both the subway station and a bus stop, so it looks convenient to reach by public transit too 👍🏻 If you're visiting by car like we did, for a drive-out outing, you can park easily at the MH Tower ground-level parking lot and head straight in to eat.

The vibe and seating — good for group gatherings too?

The interior of Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch felt spacious, clean and airy overall. The wood-and-white tone interior was quite atmospheric. The space is big and there are plenty of seats! It's a great recommendation not just for couples, friends and families, but also for group gatherings, get-togethers and company dinners 👍🏻

The Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch menu — what we ordered

Time to order! Starting with set menus that balance value and variety, there were also standalone meat menus, meal options, noodle dishes, side dishes and drinks. After some deliberation, we went with a set menu that covered both value and variety 🍴

Side dishes and two kinds of sauce

After ordering, the staff set out the side dishes for us — there were two kinds of sauce and a good variety of banchan (side dishes) prepared as well. I especially loved this soy-based sauce?! (It goes perfectly with the brisket ❣)

The 2-person set — 400g brisket + cheese grill + sushi + doenjang jjigae

We ordered the 2-person set, which came with 400g of brisket, cheese grill, sushi and doenjang jjigae, so it was really generous 👍🏻

The brisket, cheese, sushi and stew came out one by one, in that order. The stew is doenjang jjigae by default, and if you want to swap to a different stew, it apparently costs ₩5,900? — we ordered the default and ate that. It was savory and clean-tasting, exactly like doenjang jjigae you'd make at home.

Golden-brown, beautifully cooked brisket.. it's been so long since I had brisket like this 😂😂 I couldn't hold back anymore and dug in. First I dipped it in the basic sauce, then wrapped it in sushi, then tried it with scallion salad, cheese, and every other way I could think of. The brisket itself was really delicious. Savory yet clean-tasting, it went well no matter how I ate it 👍🏻 I worried that with such a low price, the meat quality might not hold up, but I was surprised — it was better than expected. (Wait, this quality at this price?! 👀)

The finishing side dish: dolpung bibim noodles

You can't have brisket without bibim noodles, right?! haha This was the last side dish we ordered, and it was tangy and sweet, cutting right through the richness — really tasty 👍🏻

Final thoughts on Chadolpung Dasan Station Branch, a Namyangju Dasan restaurant

A Namyangju outing after a long while 🌿 We decided on it the night before on a whim, without picking out any specific restaurants or cafés in advance, just searching as we went — and Chadolpung was a restaurant I was really satisfied with! Good atmosphere, a big clean space, and nothing lacking in value, meat quality or taste. If you're heading out for a drive in Namyangju this weekend, keep this one in mind 💗
