Sangju BBQ restaurant by Sangpan Reservoir: makchang at Soine Sikdang
Soine Sikdang is a pork barbecue restaurant in Modong-myeon, Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, directly across from Sangpan Reservoir. Three diners ordered one serving each of samgyeopsal (pork belly), moksal (pork neck), hangjeongsal (pork jowl) and makchang (pork intestine), then finished with doenjang stew and Songju mul naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles), and the myeoljeot (fermented anchovy dipping sauce) and grilled green onion kimchi stood out. With a large parking lot, draft beer and a wide dining room, Soine Sikdang works just as well for family gatherings as for work dinners.
