About

Chome is a Japanese restaurant serving ramen during the day and Kanto-style (Tokyo-style) sukiyaki in the evening. Chome's ramen broth is a blend of pork and chicken stock simmered in-house every day, and Chome makes its own shoyu instead of using a store-bought one. Chome's chashu comes in two kinds, an aged pork neck chashu cooked low-temperature sous vide and a chicken chashu, and Chome's noodles are made from flour and fresh eggs with no preservatives, soda or vinegar. Chome's mazesoba is mixed with a special minced-meat sauce, egg yolk, scallions and seaweed flakes, and diners can add kelp vinegar partway through to change the flavour.

Chome's evening sukiyaki is simmered in warishita sauce with beef, mushrooms, baby napa cabbage, leek, kabocha squash, tofu and konjac until the broth reduces, then dipped in raw egg. Chome has both solo bar seating and table seating, and Chome's drinks include draft beer and highballs.
