About

Woohwa Gopchang opened in 2019 as a grilled beef gopchang and makchang restaurant. Every morning before dawn, Woohwa Gopchang brings in beef slaughtered that same day at an abattoir in Osan, Gyeonggi-do, and sources vegetables from the Noeun-dong agricultural and fisheries market, following a rule of selling each day's ingredients only on that day. The gopchang at Woohwa Gopchang arrives pre-grilled, and staff grill it at the table as a grilling service. While diners wait for the first grilling, Woohwa Gopchang sets out side dishes such as tteokbokki, seaweed soup, raw liver and cheonyeop (beef omasum).

From late April to early November, Woohwa Gopchang runs outdoor tables (yajang). Seating at the Woohwa Gopchang outdoor tables is first come, first served, so reservations are not taken, and the outdoor tables do not operate in rain, heat waves or cold snaps.
