Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch: location and parking
Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch (만포갈비 양주본점) was easy to visit from the start, with a wide entrance and a spacious parking lot. It is great for a family visit, but the generous parking also makes it a perfect spot for group gatherings, company dinners, or eating out.
Parking is quietly important when taking your parents out for a meal, especially, so I was happy on that front too. 😊 I would recommend it to anyone looking for a meat restaurant in Yangju that is easy to drive to!
What comes with the handmade rib lunch special

This time, we ordered four handmade rib lunch specials! It came with 250g of pork ribs, naengmyeon (cold noodles), and doenjang sulbap (rice in soybean-paste stew), so it was seriously generous. 👍
Best of all, Manpo Galbi is a rib restaurant that serves house-made Hamheung naengmyeon for free, and I absolutely love that. At most other meat restaurants, you have to order naengmyeon separately and often pay an extra ₩7,000–₩8,000, but here even the delicious noodles are free, so the value is really good. 🥹
Side dishes that include yukhoe and yukjeon

Another reason I love Manpo Galbi is the side dishes. This is not simply a place where you eat meat—the care put into every side dish makes them feel refined, which makes it such a lovely place to visit with parents.
I was especially amazed that yukhoe (seasoned raw beef) and yukjeon (pan-fried beef slices) came as side dishes. How many meat restaurants serve both yukhoe and yukjeon as banchan (side dishes)? 😳 There was also salad, gungchae pickles, seasoned scallion salad, fresh ginseng salad, seasoned chilies, shredded radish salad, and so much more. Every single one was tasty, so I think parents would be especially pleased with this spread. ❤️

Before getting to the meat, I had a light bite of the yukhoe, and it was delicious too. The yukjeon arrived piping hot, and eating it right away was savory and tender—it really got my appetite going.
Personally, the fresh ginseng salad was such a standout that day! 🌿 It paired beautifully with the meat, but it was also delicious on its own, so I kept reaching for it.
A generous rib set for four adults
Do not assume the portions are small just because it is a lunch special. There were four adults—two women and two men—and we ate so generously that we left completely full. 😆
With 250g of pork ribs, all those side dishes, naengmyeon, and doenjang sulbap, it did not feel lacking at all as a full meal. If anything, all the different dishes had us absolutely stuffed!

It would be a shame to have ribs without naengmyeon, but Manpo Galbi brings the noodles out from the beginning, so it was perfect. Not needing to order naengmyeon separately after eating the meat was so convenient and nice.
And there is no need to lower your expectations just because the naengmyeon is complimentary. The noodles were actually delicious, making the whole table feel that much more satisfying. 😍
Handmade marinated ribs with just the right sweetness
Finally, the star of the meal: the ribs! Manpo Galbi's ribs are not overly sweet; they have just the right amount of sweetness and are so delicious. The meat felt fresh and was nice and thick, with a great chew.
The marinade was evenly absorbed into the meat too, and grilling it over charcoal seemed to bring out even more flavor. 🔥

Ribs can feel heavy if they have too much fat, while too much lean meat can be dry, but these had a great balance of fat and lean meat, making them even more delicious. Honestly, this is one of the best rib places I have ever tried.
On top of that, the side dishes were so plentiful and refined that I think they made the meal taste even better than usual. 🥹❤️ This is truly my number-one rib restaurant!

The ribs were delicious even on their own, but they tasted different again when paired with the various side dishes. In particular, the pickled onions cut through the sweet ribs so cleanly—they were such a good match.
They were also delicious with naengmyeon or shredded radish salad, and having little bites with the different sides meant I never got tired of them. 😋 With so many side dishes, families can choose according to their own tastes too.
Free house-made Hamheung naengmyeon
And then there was the Hamheung naengmyeon, which I really loved! Even though it was complimentary, it honestly tasted better than naengmyeon sold separately at many meat restaurants. 😳
Manpo Galbi makes its own noodles, and both the noodles and the overall clean flavor paired beautifully with the ribs. Cucumber and pickled radish on top added a crisp, refreshing bite. Free noodles this good… that says it all, right? 😂❤️
A hearty finish with chadol doenjang sulbap

The chadol doenjang sulbap, which was great alongside the ribs, was also really generous. It was full of tofu, onion, zucchini, thinly sliced beef brisket, and other ingredients, so there was plenty to eat and it was nice and hot for finishing the meal.
There is something so delicious about a spoonful of warm doenjang sulbap in between bites of meat. If you want a properly filling meal with rice too, I definitely recommend having it. 👍
Ppeongtwigi, ice cream, and coffee for dessert

After we finished eating, there was dessert ready too, which made me happy right to the end. You could have ice cream with ppeongtwigi (puffed rice crackers) made in-house, and there was milk coffee and Americano available as well.
There were even cups of ice, so you could finish on a cool note. 🧊 From meat and a full meal to naengmyeon and dessert, everything is taken care of in one place, and it really felt like a wonderful spot for dining out.
A Yangju rib restaurant I have visited again and again
Once again, I was so satisfied with Manpo Galbi Yangju Main Branch in Yangju! 🥩❤️ More than anything, this was not just my first or second visit—I have been back again and again and again, which already proves it is one of my personal favorite restaurants. 😆
This is a rib restaurant I genuinely love enough to make a special trip to from Goyang. Of all the ribs I have tried, it suits my taste so well that I personally feel it is the best. The marinade is not too sweet but pleasantly sweet, and the thick meat is so delicious when grilled over charcoal. 🔥
What I love most is that it is not only the meat that is good; the side dishes are plentiful and refined too. With yukhoe and yukjeon even served as side dishes, plus fresh ginseng salad, gungchae pickles, shredded radish salad, and more, it was also a wonderful place to visit with parents.
The fact that you can have house-made Hamheung naengmyeon for free is another big plus. Usually you have to order naengmyeon separately at meat restaurants, but delicious noodles are included here, so it feels like truly great value.
After the meal, there was everything from ppeongtwigi with ice cream to milk coffee and Americano, so we could wrap up neatly with dessert too. 🍨☕️ The parking lot and entrance are both spacious, so it looked suitable not only for family meals but also group gatherings or company dinners.
If you are looking for a great restaurant in Yangju to take your parents to, a Yangju rib restaurant, or a Yangju meat restaurant, I would recommend Manpo Galbi. My number-one rib restaurant, good enough to make a special trip for: Manpo Galbi in Yangju! There is a reason I have come back again and again and again. 🥹🥩🔥
