Yangju pork galbi and yukhoe feast: Manpo Garden

Looking for a pork galbi gathering spot in Yangju?

If you need a place in Yangju for a gathering or work dinner, Manpo Garden would be a good one to try. I heard it gets busy from the morning on. That means it tastes good, and especially, I want to introduce this place to anyone looking for delicious pork galbi. My child loves galbi, and it is on a completely different level from the galbi you buy at the supermarket, you know.

There is plenty of parking, and it is about 10 minutes from the Okjeong central shopping district, so I think it is close by, too. I also thought the prices were reasonable. My child and I ordered two portions of pork galbi and one yukhoe, and we ate until we were absolutely stuffed :-)

They also have a Naver receipt event. Such a thoughtful touch—and getting a ₩2,000 discount would be nice, right? Plus, 60% off when you have something gift-wrapped is amazing. I really should prepare Chuseok gifts this way next time :-)

A generous table of sides, like a Korean set-menu restaurant

I was surprised when I saw all the side dishes come out. It was totally like a Korean set-menu restaurant. The dishes were so neatly prepared, too. Everything was delicious. It felt like a fine-dining restaurant :-) We had only ordered meat, yet all this food came out so generously. There were lots of older diners when I went. Looking around, almost everyone was older—places with lots of older diners are truly good restaurants, you know?

We ordered two portions of pork galbi, at ₩19,000 per portion. But look how generous it is. Personally, I loved the amount, too. My child is a good eater, so I wondered, Should I order one more portion? But two portions plus the yukhoe did the job :-) Oh, and we polished off a whole bowl of rice, too.

Just looking at the generous, neatly prepared side dishes, I thought, This really is a great restaurant. If you are looking for delicious galbi in Yangju, definitely go to Manpo Garden. Especially if you want to take older family members out for a meal? Definitely go to Manpo Garden.

Charcoal-grilled pork galbi: watch the heat at first

The charcoal temperature was just right. Oh, the heat is strong at first, so be careful not to burn the meat :-) I am not very good at grilling meat, so I burned two pieces, but I grilled the rest very well, haha.

Can you feel the quality of the meat even in the photos? Can you see it? It was so plentiful and tender that we enjoyed it very much. Meat has nutrients both adults and children need, so I try to eat meat once a week :-)

It made me happy that even the side dishes were so abundant at a place we visited like this. At places like this, I also think it would be nice to come with friends and family. Delicious food does not make you gain weight. I really believe that... haha. Of course, we should not eat delicious food every day. But eating something tasty like this once in a while gives you that happy kind of fullness.

If a Korean barbecue restaurant has yukhoe, order it

When the meat was nearly cooked, we ordered a plate of yukhoe (Korean-style seasoned raw beef), haha. We could not not order it. If a Korean barbecue restaurant has yukhoe, we always try it. As expected... goodness, what would we have done if we had not ordered it? It was so delicious. I am so sad I could not have a beer with it :-)

The yukhoe was really delicious. Please do order this if you like yukhoe. It was fresh. Mixing it while breaking the egg yolk gave me such an endorphin rush :-) Haha. There was such joy in eating it. Oh, they also sell Korean beef. Next time, I will go back for Korean beef.

Such delicious yukhoe :-) We finished a plate in no time. The sweet pear and seasoning went together beautifully. Personally, I found it very delicious. Tastes differ from person to person, but I do not think Manpo Garden would be divisive.

The many side dishes :-) I took detailed photos, so use them as a reference if you visit next time. The sides and meat are all so generous that you will be truly full :-)

A spacious setting for family events and group gatherings

Also, the space is very large. I visited at an in-between time, which was actually nice. It was so nice because there were no people around :-) Since it was so empty, we could eat comfortably.

It would be great for a group gathering, right? It would also be nice for a family event. When everyone is getting together, try Manpo Garden.

They had already sold a lot of meat. It is a popular restaurant. Once I went myself, I could see why it would be popular.

From puffed rice to soft-serve ice cream and coffee

And what is even more amazingly thoughtful is the puffed rice snacks, ice cream, and coffee.............. Wow, truly amazing :-) Even such a variety of desserts. Make sure to have the ice cream, too. It is truly delicious soft-serve ice cream. The coffee is good, too :-)

It was so nice to finish a generous meal and take care of dessert at the same time before leaving. The puffed rice snacks were tasty, and having them with soft-serve ice cream made it so sweet and delicious.

This kind of thoughtfulness is amazing. Not every restaurant has this kind of thoughtfulness :-) It was a very satisfying meal.

I am happy to feel like I have discovered another great restaurant. Yangju really has so many good restaurants. Make sure to have dessert before you go :-)
