A Chinese restaurant on the second floor of the Adelis shopping arcade in Haeundae U-dong
Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is on the second floor of the The Sharp Adelis officetel shopping arcade in U-dong, Haeundae. It is a 16-minute walk from Dongbaek Station on the Busan Metro, so it is easy enough to get to.

There are vegan and gluten-free menu options, and group dining is available. Separate restrooms, a waiting area, high chairs, Wi-Fi, takeout, and reservations are all available, while the entrance and seating are wheelchair accessible. There is accessible parking, too.

You get free parking for up to 1 hour 30 minutes in the Adelis shopping arcade.

When you think of a Chinese restaurant, jajangmyeon or jjamppong probably comes to mind first. This one is somewhere you can have a meal in a slightly more atmospheric setting.

Tablet ordering in a calm, cozy space
As soon as I walked in, the place was just as neat and comfortable as expected, making it lovely for a meal. There were so many menu choices that I spent quite a while deciding what to order.

Each table has an ordering tablet, so we ordered comfortably without face-to-face service. We placed several orders through the table-order system and shared them, tasting each one.

What we ordered and prices
- Seafood jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) ₩18,000
- Abalone shrimp fried rice ₩18,000
- Pai xiang gua ₩8,000

I hear Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch pays close attention not only to the flavor and quality of its food, but also to small details including the space, service, and interior. Even though it is nearly 330 square meters, it still feels calm and cozy. If you are looking for somewhere to have a quiet meal at a Chinese restaurant in Haeundae U-dong, it seems well worth a visit.

Clean, spicy seafood jjamppong loaded with seafood
This is the seafood jjamppong. With mussels, octopus, clams, shrimp, and other seafood in it, it has plenty of savory depth and a refreshing flavor.

Lately, it gets chilly so quickly once the sun goes down. I ordered this because I was craving a warm broth, and it was spicy without being heavy or murky—just clean-tasting. The more I ate, the more that spiciness really woke up my appetite. The noodles were not overcooked and had just the right bounce, so the texture was great.

Abalone shrimp fried rice served with jajang sauce
Every grain of rice was fried fluffy and separate, which gave it a great texture. It came with finely chopped abalone and shrimp, plus jajang sauce on top.

Mix in just a little of the jajang sauce and you get its savory-sweet flavor. It tastes different when eaten plain and when mixed with the sauce. The fluffy rice, finely chopped abalone, shrimp, and jajang sauce let you enjoy several flavors and textures at once.

Cold, crisp Chinese smashed cucumber pai xiang gua
This dish is called pai xiang gua. It is Chinese-style smashed cucumber, tossed in Bueokgan Chinese's own special sauce and served cold.

It was incredibly crisp. The cucumber's naturally cool, fresh taste combines with sweet-and-sour seasoning and makes your mouth feel even more refreshed. At ₩8,000 for a plate, it seems like an easy dish to add without much 부담.

A good spot to reserve, eat, and take a walk afterward
You can make a reservation through Catchtable without calling. Dongbaekjeon QR payments and payments through the Payco app are both accepted. The restaurant was so neat that I thought I should come back later with older family members~ There is a walking path right out front, so it is nice to take a stroll after eating to help digest your meal.
