Pohang ocean-view Western restaurant: Plan A Restaurant chop steak

While looking for a place to eat Western food with an ocean view in Pohang, I visited Plan A Restaurant (플랜에이레스토랑) in front of Songdo Beach. This time, I visited as part of a sponsored experience program. The ocean view was what I expected most at first, but after the meal, the chop steak stayed with me more.

How were the Songdo ocean view and parking?

Plan A Restaurant is directly opposite Songdo Beach. There is a public parking lot right in front that I could use for free, so it was convenient even by car.

Once inside, the Songdo sea stretched out beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows. We visited around sunset, and as time passed, we could also see the sunset.

If you are thinking of both a meal and a date near Songdo Beach, I liked that you can eat while looking at the sea.

What did two people order?

The two of us ordered mushroom basil cream risotto, spicy shrimp cream spaghetti, and chop steak. Of the two chop steak styles, we chose PLAN.B.

What did PLAN.B chop steak taste like?

Chop steak A is stir-fried with sauce, while B is lightly seasoned meat served for dipping in sauce. I chose PLAN.B because I wanted to taste the meat itself more simply.

The first thing I noticed in one bite was how tender the meat was.

What stood out in particular was eating it with chili oil. Its lightly spicy flavor cut through the richness and seemed to bring out the meat's savory flavor. It also came with fries and salad, making for a substantial plate, and it was the dish I enjoyed most that day.

What paired well with the chop steak?

The spicy shrimp cream spaghetti we ordered went well with the chop steak.

Although it was a cream pasta, it was lightly spicy rather than rich, and the noodles were cooked well. I also liked that small shrimp were tucked into the sauce, so shrimp came along when I twirled the noodles.

Alternating between the chop steak with chili oil and the cream pasta, the lightly spicy meat and smooth cream sauce went well together. If the two of us returned, I would want to order these two dishes together again.

Was the basil flavor strong in the mushroom basil cream risotto?

My companion's favorite dish was the mushroom basil cream risotto. While I was eating the chop steak, my companion kept reaching for the risotto.

I thought the basil flavor might be strong, but it did not taste as intense as I expected. The cream's savory richness and the mushrooms' umami worked well together, so I felt it could be worth trying even for someone unfamiliar with basil.

What did we think after eating three dishes?

At first, I wondered whether three dishes would be too much, but the two of us left full. I liked the chop steak most, while my companion liked the mushroom basil cream risotto most. I went expecting the ocean view, but the food made me want to return. I would order the chop steak again next time.

When are the opening hours and break time?
