Daegu Italian restaurant with shrimp pilaf: Resting07
In short
Resting07 is an Italian restaurant in Dongseong-ro, Jung-gu, Daegu. My family ordered cube pork neck steak, gamberi pilaf, and aglio e olio for a filling meal, and we especially loved the seemingly endless shrimp and odor-free pork. Verdict: generous, affordable food that even my parents enjoyed.

There was an Italian restaurant in Dongseong-ro I’d been curious about for ages, so when I was nearby, I finally visited Resting07 with my family for the first time in a while. The prices were nice too, and we had a filling meal that felt like lunch and dinner rolled into one.
Resting07 parking and entrance in Dongseong-ro
There isn’t a separate parking lot, so we parked at Dongseong-ro Jungang Private Parking Lot (동성로중앙민영주차장) nearby. Including the wait for the parking-lot elevator, it takes roughly 4–5 minutes.

You can spot the sign for Resting07, a great restaurant in Daegu’s Dongseong-ro, on the second floor!!

Pasta starting from ₩11,700? It really is affordable.

Head up the stairs and you’ll see the entrance. There’s also a huge full-length mirror, perfect for photos before or after eating.
There are nine tables in all: two by the window, three in rooms, and four in the central hall. The rooms make it nice for dates, but I think it’s great for families too! As my mom sat down in the room, she said, “The atmosphere is nice here.”
They have a variety of wines too.
I’m picky about restrooms, but this one was kept very clean and has separate facilities for men and women, which I loved.
If you tag them in an Instagram Story, you can get one of a mini salad, corn cheese, or a soft drink, so it might be worth joining in!

Menu and order
Events, wine sets, steak, pasta, rice.

There’s such a wide variety of menu items, including pizza, salads, drinks, and alcohol.

- Cube pork neck steak
- Gamberi pilaf
- Aglio e olio
- Coca-Cola

They bring utensils, bread before the meal, and radish and pickle sides as standard. Napkins are on top of the Hi Order tablet. They also provide cups of ice so you can enjoy your soda nice and cold.
Gamberi pilaf with shrimp that just keeps coming
There are so many shrimp hidden in there.

Pile onion and plump shrimp onto the rice and eat it together—the bouncy shrimp even make that crisp little pop, and the sweet onion, sauce, and fried rice work so well. Delicious.

Look at those chubby shrimp 🍤
Well-grilled cube pork neck steak with no off smell
Warm pork neck! I was a little unsure whether pork neck steak and corn cheese would go together, but...

I dipped it in the sauce, and as someone sensitive to meaty odors, I can say there was no off smell at all. I liked its slight chew too. It was grilled just right—my hand kept going back for more pork neck. My dad is super picky, but he said the pork neck here was tasty and good. (And picky me agrees.)

Meat + corn cheese + asparagus. But seriously, corn cheese and pork neck go so well together, right? The nutty, salty cheese, sweet corn, and nicely textured asparagus were such a good match.

Aglio e olio made with linguine
Resting07, a great restaurant in Daegu’s Dongseong-ro, uses linguine.

Linguine + mushrooms + garlic. The noodles had a great bite and made me want to chew slowly. With its gentle garlic fragrance, it was nutty and felt faithful to the basics.

We ate so well that the plates looked practically washed clean. (We were very full!)

Me: “Can I take these?” Staff: “You can take plenty.” We had two peaches and one strawberry for dessert.
A meal the whole family enjoyed
Even if you order a variety of dishes, it doesn’t feel burdensome—the prices are low and the portions are big. I thought the shrimp visible on top of the gamberi pilaf was all there was, but surprise: shrimp kept appearing as we ate. I loved how generous the shrimp portion was.
My dad said we should come back, so I was happy that my parents seemed satisfied with the meal too.
