Among the many great places to eat around Kkachiul, I visited Tteuranchae Bapsang in Bucheon, one of the standouts. It is a Korean set-meal specialist where you can refill the many side dishes.

Gim Myeongju Tteuranchae Bapsang Bucheon Main Branch (김명주뜰안채밥상 부천본점) is one of Bucheon's best-known Korean set-meal restaurants. You choose a main dish such as grilled mackerel, soy-marinated crab, or spicy cockle salad to go with a table full of basic dishes. With its spacious dining room and parking lot, it is perfect for a family meal or group gathering.

The basic set meal is ₩13,000 per person and includes pot rice, a variety of side dishes, and cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew). When two people visit, ordering one à la carte dish lets you enjoy the basic set meal! Let me show you Bucheon's Tteuranchae Bapsang in detail—a great pick when you want a generous, satisfying Korean meal.
Near Kkachiul Station: location and parking
This Korean set-meal restaurant is near Exit 2 of Kkachiul Station and has a large parking lot, so it is easy to visit by car. The address is 59 Gilju-ro 560beon-gil, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and it is open daily from 10:30 to 21:00.

I arrived at Tteuranchae Bapsang Bucheon, a popular Kkachiul restaurant that has waits not only on weekends but even at weekday lunchtime. There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant, and parking attendants are there to guide you, making the visit easy.

Go up the stairs to the second floor and you will find the restaurant. You can join the waitlist through Catchtable, and there is a well-prepared waiting area inside. My tip for Tteuranchae Bapsang Bucheon is to check the wait on Catchtable and get in line before you arrive. I went without knowing and waited about 10 minutes at the restaurant! The food comes out quickly and tables turn over fast, so even a wait goes down quickly.
A spacious interior for group gatherings
Step inside and the restaurant opens up into a spacious dining room. There are plenty of tables, making it a good place to visit with a group. There were lots of moms dining there when I visited, too! You know a place is the real deal when it is a favorite for moms' gatherings. This was a Korean set meal loved in Bucheon.
How to order at Tteuranchae Bapsang and the menu

Let me explain how it works. To order the Tteuranchae set meal, you need to order an à la carte dish. For every four diners, simply choose at least one à la carte dish. If four people order one à la carte dish, it is a great value. We were two people, so we ordered two Tteuranchae set meals and added grilled mackerel.

The menu lists the Tteuranchae set meal—one person's basic setting—at ₩13,000. It includes cheonggukjang and stone-pot rice. You can then add your choice of soy-marinated crab (Korean yellow crab) for ₩18,000, charcoal-grilled pork (pork neck and front leg) for ₩18,000, dried yellow corvina for ₩18,000, spicy cockle salad for ₩16,000, or grilled mackerel for ₩16,000.
The Tteuranchae set meal with grilled mackerel
The meal setting includes pot rice, cheonggukjang, and 12 side dishes.

Our Tteuranchae set meal with the added grilled mackerel arrived. The neat plating really stood out, didn't it?

There were so many side dishes that it was fun choosing what to eat. This variety of Korean side dishes is exactly why we eat a Korean set meal, right? It would also be lovely to bring your parents here.

The japchae (stir-fried glass noodles) was good, and I enjoyed the fried eggplant as well.

You can comfortably refill any food you run short on at the self-service corner. It makes for such a generous, satisfying meal!

The grilled mackerel was beautifully golden and made with Norwegian mackerel, with a wonderfully nutty flavor. It was not overly salty, just right, with a crisp exterior and moist inside.

The earthy cheonggukjang is refillable, too! Its savory, earthy flavor makes you finish a bowl of rice in no time.

It is delicious even when you add rice and give it a quick mix! It is the kind of cheonggukjang that makes me want to come back for another bowl. It had been a while since I had eaten such an earthy stew, and I loved it.

Tteuranchae Bapsang's cheonggukjang was also available to buy separately as a takeaway.

Hwangmi rice pot rice and nurungji
The appeal of this Bucheon Korean set meal was the pot rice. Tteuranchae Bapsang cooks its pot rice with hwangmi rice, which it mills fresh every day. You can see the glossy sheen on the rice, can't you? It is so good that you naturally say the rice alone is delicious.

Then pour in hot water and enjoy the nurungji (scorched rice). Even when you are full, this nurungji goes down so easily—you simply cannot resist it!
Final thoughts
I liked this restaurant even more because you can refill the side dishes and eat as much as you want! The cheonggukjang is delicious, and there are many kinds of basic side dishes, so it is a great place when you want a hearty Korean meal. When you are craving a Korean set meal in Bucheon, this is a restaurant where you can relax and enjoy a good-value meal!
