I had wood-fired grilled mackerel at Geumdeungeo Deulanguil Main Branch (금등어 들안길 본점) in Suseong-gu, Daegu. We also added cockle salad and spicy stir-fried pork, and I liked alternating between the mild fish and the seasoned dishes. The parking and access were convenient, and the restaurant was spacious, so it stayed with me as a place for a family meal.

Is parking and access convenient when visiting with parents?
There was a dedicated parking lot and parking tower, which made visiting by car convenient. The restaurant is on the second floor at 57 Deulan-ro, and I could take the elevator up. It is worth noting when choosing a place to eat with older family members.

The hours listed in the original post are 11:00–21:20, with a break time of 15:30–17:00 and last orders at 20:40.
What is the space like for a family gathering?
There was signage and a nameplate at the entrance, and I got the impression that the place was kept neat. The interior was more spacious than I expected, with group rooms in addition to regular tables. I thought it would suit a meal with several people, such as for a parent's birthday or a relatives' gathering. It was also indicated that group reservations are available.

What did we order?
The menu had a range of main meals and dishes to accompany grilled mackerel. We ordered around the grilled mackerel and added cockle salad and spicy stir-fried pork.

How did the wood-fired grilled mackerel taste and feel?
I was impressed that the mackerel was grilled in a wood-fired oven. It felt different from the pan-grilled fish I usually eat.

The mackerel was golden and crisp on the outside, while the flesh was moist. I did not notice any fishy smell in the mackerel I had that day, and its mild flavor went well with rice.

The flesh was thick, making it easy to separate with chopsticks. Dipping it lightly in the nuruk salt served alongside it was well seasoned for my taste, while still letting the mackerel's mild flavor come through.

Can you get more side dishes?
There was a wide variety of side dishes, so I had a little of several kinds with the meal. It was convenient to get more of anything we ran short on from the self-serve bar. Hot doenjang-guk (soybean paste soup) was served as well, and I also saw a serving robot bringing side dishes during the meal.

Did the cockle salad and spicy stir-fried pork go well with the mackerel?
The cockle salad was mildly spicy, and the cucumber in it added a crisp texture. I liked wrapping rice and cockle salad in the unseasoned gim (dried seaweed) served at the table. Wrapping mackerel flesh in gim and dipping it lightly in soy sauce also worked well.

The spicy stir-fried pork had a subtle smoky flavor, and the seasoning was not overly strong. Its familiar seasoned flavor made it easy to alternate with the mild grilled mackerel.

How did we finish the meal?
After finishing the meal, I freshened my palate with gangjeong (sweet crispy snack). There were also side dishes for sale in one area of the restaurant.

There was an Americano machine and cups of ice, as well as apricot juice. We finished the meal with coffee and juice. I liked being able to have a simple palate cleanser without looking for a separate café.

What I especially remembered from this meal was the wood-fired grilled mackerel's crisp exterior and moist flesh, along with the self-serve bar where I could get more of the side dishes I wanted. With convenient parking and access plus group rooms, I felt it would be a good place for a meal with parents.
