Yeonsu Italian restaurant for pasta and cream risotto: Cenacolo Artfore

In short

Cenacolo Artfore is an Italian restaurant on the second floor of Artfore near Central Park Station in Yeonsu, Incheon. We reserved a window table and tried Melanzane Carozza, Amatriciana pasta, and chamsongi mushroom risotto. The gently spicy pasta paired well with the rich but not salty risotto, and the softly lit interior suited a date or family meal.

How do I get there from Central Park Station?

Cenacolo Artfore (체나콜로 아트포레) is in Unit 211 on the second floor of Artfore Building C, right near Songdo Central Park Station. The address is 257 Incheontawer-daero, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. Even after going up to the second floor, the sky was clearly visible, so the walk to the restaurant felt a little like a stroll.

How do I get from the parking lot to the restaurant?

You can use the basement level 1 parking lot in the Artfore building. Two routes from the parking lot to the restaurant were posted.

  • Take the elevator in front of pillar 10 to the second floor, then turn right twice. The restaurant is on the left about 30 m ahead.
  • Go up to the first floor via the stairs beside pillar 02, then take the escalator. The restaurant is directly ahead.

The exterior was distinctive enough to catch my eye. It felt fitting for marking an occasion or having a date meal.

What are the hours and break time?

At the time the original post was written, hours were listed as 11:00–22:00 daily. The break time was 15:00–17:00, with last orders at 21:00. On Sundays, last orders were a little earlier at 20:30.

What was on the menu, and how much did we order?

The menu included pasta, risotto, steak, soup, and salads. We ordered Melanzane Carozza, Amatriciana Pasta, and Chamsongi Risotto.

  • Melanzane Carozza: ₩20,000
  • Amatriciana Pasta: ₩19,000
  • Chamsongi Risotto: ₩23,000

Is it suitable for a date or a meal with children?

The interior was tidy and cozy, with lighting that was not overly bright. It did not feel overly formal, so I thought it would work for an everyday date, a blind date, or a family meal. High chairs were available, and there were also guests with young children.

We made a reservation before visiting. We were shown to a window-side table, and the tableware was neatly set.

Each table had its own call button, which made it easy to order or ask for anything else we needed.

How were the bread and side dishes?

The pre-meal bread arrived lightly toasted. It was slightly crisp outside and moist inside, with a simple flavor that I enjoyed.

I also liked the pickles and olives served alongside. The pickles were refilled, while extra olives were noted as costing additional.

What did Melanzane Carozza taste like?

Melanzane Carozza was new to me. It was described as an Italian cutlet made with house-made salsiccia and scamorza cheese, wrapped in eggplant and fried. I chose it because I wanted to try it after seeing the menu photo.

The tomato sauce spread generously underneath was delicious, while the cutlet was crisp outside and moist inside. Its texture reminded me of a croquette; it was tender to bite into and lightly flavored, which suited my taste.

How were the pasta and cream risotto together?

While we were eating the Melanzane Carozza, the pasta and risotto arrived soon after.

The chamsongi mushroom cream risotto was described as using chamsongi mushrooms from Naju, Jeollanam-do, and mushroom cream, with the aroma of truffle oil. The rice was cooked to a good texture, and the cream sauce was rich without being salty. It was smooth rather than heavy for my taste, which I especially liked.

The Amatriciana pasta was described as a mildly spicy tomato-sauce pasta with onion, bacon, and basil aroma. I chose something a little spicy to eat with the cream risotto, and it did have a gentle heat that made the pairing work well. The pasta was cooked to a good texture and went well with the sauce.
