Where is Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch, and what is the alley like?

You can find it just a short walk down an alley from the main street. It's close enough to the main road for good access, but still has that quiet alley feeling, which gives it real charm.

On nice days, you can enjoy your coffee at the small outdoor seats. Sitting outside for a bit in autumn seems like it would let you soak in the full alley mood!

Inside Ieo Coffee: brick-divided tables and the window bar seats

The interior of Ieo Coffee Roasters near Daeheung and Gongdeok stations is charming too.

The space isn't huge, but it fits more tables than you'd expect. At the center, a rough exposed brick wall divides the space, adding both function and atmosphere 😌

The bar table, good for one or two people, faces the window — that's where we sat :-)

Ieo Coffee Roasters also sells drip bags of their own roasted beans. You can buy them individually, and if you buy 8 or more they'll wrap them in a box, so they're great for gifts!!

There's a good variety of beans, and you can buy just the beans too!!

How the almond latte and grapefruit apple tea taste

We picked three desserts — Basque cheesecake, egg financier, and walnut pecan chocolate cookie!! — and ordered an almond latte and a grapefruit apple tea to drink :-)

Ieo Coffee Roasters, where even the drinks look delicious

The signature almond latte wasn't too sweet and was full of nutty flavor, and I liked how strong the coffee was!! I'm not a fan of watery lattes, but since Ieo Coffee Roasters puts in strong coffee, I bet their regular latte would be great too! 👍🏻

And the grapefruit apple tea!! It had a healthy, just-sweet-enough flavor and felt refreshing — really good for cooling down on a hot summer day. 👍🏻

Basque cheesecake, egg financier or walnut pecan cookie: which to order

The Basque cheesecake is packed with really dense, rich cheese — a totally satisfying choice for cheese lovers. There's little flour, so it really feels like it's mostly cheese.

Think of the egg financier as even denser than an egg tart! I really enjoyed it,

The walnut pecan chocolate cookie came out very slightly warmed, so the chocolate inside was a bit melted, making it even more moist and delicious 🥺
