Pre-train milmyeon and gukbap at a Busan Station restaurant: Yeongdong
In short
Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch is a Korean restaurant right in front of Busan Station in Dong-gu, Busan, serving both milmyeon (Busan-style cold wheat noodles) and dwaeji gukbap (pork and rice soup). Before catching a train, the writer had mul milmyeon (cold noodles in broth), bibim milmyeon (spicy mixed noodles) and dwaeji gukbap. The restaurant was busy with diners and foreign tourists, but fast turnover meant a seat right away, the gukbap had no gamey smell, and the noodles were springy. For travelers who want milmyeon and gukbap in one stop near Busan Station, the writer would return without hesitation: a 100% revisit.

Can you eat milmyeon and pork soup in one place at Busan Station?
Yes, you can have milmyeon and dwaeji gukbap (pork soup with rice) together at Yeongdong Milmyeon & Dwaeji Gukbap Busan Station Branch. Pork soup and milmyeon are the must-eats when you visit Busan, right?! But usually you have to go to one place for gukbap and another for milmyeon, which is a bit of a hassle, so I was happy to find a spot right in front of Busan Station that serves both.

I came for a hearty meal before my train, and the conclusion first: it's officially a Busan Station favorite.
It's really close to Busan Station, so it was easy even dragging a suitcase, and the location is perfect for your first or last meal of a trip. The access is so good that I'd fully recommend it to anyone looking for a good place near Busan Station ✨

Is it crowded, and is the wait long?
The restaurant was busy, but turnover is fast, so I didn't wait long and was shown to a seat right away. The first thing I noticed walking in was how many customers there were. There were especially a lot of foreign tourists, haha. It made me wonder if this is a must-stop whenever people come to Busan!

Sure enough, the walls show that celebrities have been here. Please include me too,, (shameless)

Is it okay to eat alone near Busan Station?
Yes. The tables are spaced widely and the place is tidy, so eating alone was comfortable. There were more solo diners than I expected, and the atmosphere made it no pressure at all. It felt relaxing to eat by yourself 😊

Here's the menu. I ordered milmyeon and pork soup, and the best part was being able to get both in one place! Even if you come with a friend, each of you can order what you want, so satisfaction is top 👍

The side dishes came out very clean too, which I loved! The kimchi passes already, right?

Does the pork soup at Yeongdong Milmyeon have any gamey smell?
The pork soup here had no gamey smell at all. I'm someone who notices right away if pork soup smells off, but the broth was rich yet clean and there was plenty of meat, so I was really satisfied ❤️ After a spoonful of broth I added rice to the soup, and it was seriously filling.

Which is better, mul milmyeon or bibim milmyeon?
Both the mul milmyeon and bibim milmyeon were good, but I personally recommend the mul milmyeon. I started with the milmyeon and wow... the noodles were so springy and chewy 😍 The texture was so good that I kept going. The broth was really cold and savory, and from the first bite I thought, "so this is why people eat Busan milmyeon," haha. It wasn't harshly salty or sweet, just clean, and I enjoyed it to the end.

Mul milmyeon and bibim milmyeon were both delicious, but I personally recommend the mul milmyeon!!!!! Because it's hot, haha

How were the portions, value and service?
The portions were much bigger than I expected. Considering prices these days, this amount at this price is a real bargain 👏 I left full and the price still felt easy on the wallet, so the value was great too.
The staff were also very kind! Even with customers constantly coming in, they were friendly and the food came out quickly, so there was almost no waiting.

The milmyeon is good, the pork soup is good, and the access is great, so it's perfect for a stop during a trip.
