Cheongna eel buffet where refills match the first plate: Jangsodam

Today I went to an all-you-can-eat buffet for the first time in a while! But does that mean the quality is bad? Absolutely nope! My sister and I were both so satisfied, so here's my review of Jangsodam (장소담), the place that "holds eel and beef"!

Parking and location of Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch

Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch (장소담 장어 소고기 뷔페 맛집 청라본점) is on the 2nd floor of a parking tower building, so parking is easy. The parking lot starts on the 4th floor and it's roomy, so no worries about coming by car~

Jangsodam is on the 2nd floor, and the 1st floor has all kinds of shops, starting with a Starbucks! If you walk in without a reservation and have to wait, they say you get a complimentary service item!

Also, you can use just the self-bar, and honestly, even the self-bar alone might not be bad,,,~?

Pets, kids and group gatherings: can you bring them?

Pets are reportedly allowed at Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch, so I thought it could be a good option for people with animals!

There's also a play area inside where kids can play. The adults can have a drink with their meat and the kids can play after eating, so isn't this a perfect spot for a get-together?

There's a seating area further in too, so a company dinner for just your own group works! Oh, and for parties of 10 or more they also give you bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine)!! That means you can save on drinks too, right? Total jackpot

Jangsodam menu and time limit

The menu at Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch differs by set, and you can also order à la carte instead of a set, which really stands out~~~, doesn't it?

I love eel and beef, so I kept eating for the whole 120 minutes,,, seriously,,, I didn't think I'd fill two hours, but I think I sat there eating nonstop for about 110 minutes! As you'll see below, even after refilling the eel several times, they gave me the same quality, which made me really happy!

What's on the Jangsodam salad bar?

The Jangsodam salad bar has a sundae assortment (sundae is Korean blood sausage), fritters, tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), pasta, and even fried rice ingredients. You can keep enjoying warm food, and if something's missing, just tell them and they'll prepare it! With everything already there, you won't need any extra menu items, right?

They even have Hangang ramyeon (instant noodles cooked on the spot), so ramyeon with grilled meat is basically paradise? Honestly, for ramyeon fanatics like me, I could cry ㅠㅠ

Two kinds of grill plates, plus self-serve pork and chicken

At Jangsodam you can choose between two kinds of grill plates, a wire grill or a coated plate, and they're clearly separated so it's not confusing! And of course I dug in too: pork belly, pork neck, sausage, ribs, and chicken, such a variety that you can really eat until you burst!

You can enjoy wraps with all kinds of sauces too! It's basically an all-purpose buffet, an all-purpose buffet I tell you

Dessert and drinks

The Jangsodam self-bar has ice cream and plum tea (maesil-cha) for dessert, plus various sodas, and coffee of course,,~ Do you guys drink zero-sugar? I stubbornly go for the calorie bombs.

What comes with the Jangsodam B Set?

The Jangsodam B Set (per adult, table setting fee included) comes with stamina freshwater eel + chuck ribs + marinated crab (gejang) + pork + special dishes + Hangang ramyeon + a drink + rice + soft serve ice cream. I tried this B Set, and since I was curious about the salad bar too, I grabbed a little of everything. They give you vegetables at the start, so I topped up whatever ran short in that compartment!

Is the all-you-can-eat eel any good?

The eel at Jangsodam is firm-fleshed and grilled crisp over charcoal, almost the same as what you'd get at an eel specialty restaurant. Honestly I was worried that buffet eel would be different from a regular restaurant, but can you see it?

And the meat is big and juicy too, and since it's thin and cooks quickly, it's totally fine!! Not just fine, it's delicious,,,, tastes worth paying extra for!

Pork neck, salt-grilled chicken and grilled chicken neck are amazing

I picked up pork neck and salt-grilled chicken from the self-bar

Wait, the grilled chicken neck is insanely good ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ haha. There was only a little left in the tray, probably because everyone had been eating it. It's plump and so delicious, and the pork neck is tender too, so if you're craving pork, go for it together!

Refills come out just like the first plate

Even when I added more eel and meat at Jangsodam, it came out exactly like the first plate I got! I was eating happily and suddenly it was 120 minutes,,,, haha. The meat and eel are really that solid, so definitely give it a visit!!

I ordered the crab (gejang) because one round was a free service. Even one crab wasn't small, so it was great with pork neck and other meat, and the slightly spicy sauce went well with it, so I'd consider ordering more.

Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch: overall verdict

At Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch you can even finish with ice cream for dessert! Since I introduce all-you-can-eat buffets, and some places have mediocre eel, I went in with just a little hope today, but I didn't even touch the ramyeon or rice, because the eel was so good that I refilled only eel and meat twice and came home haha

It was so good that I have no regrets, so if you're planning a get-together or want a hearty meal, I recommend visiting "Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch"! They even give bokbunja for parties of 10 or more, so enjoy your meal with a really, really nice perk!!!
