Large beach towel for sand-free drying: Lifeclue

I tried the Lifeclue Large Beach Towel as a towel to dry off with and sit on during water activities. It was light for its generous size, and convenient when shaking off sand or drying it afterward.

Is it roomy enough for two people and easy to carry?

It measures 1.8 m × 1 m. There was plenty of room for one person to lie down, and even with two people sitting together, it did not feel cramped.

When I unpacked it after delivery, it was lighter than I expected. I assumed a large towel would be bulky and heavy, but it did not feel burdensome to hold.

It folded down slim enough to carry in a bag. I liked that it did not add much bulk when there was already lots to pack for water activities.

What do the color and pattern feel like?

The design I chose has blue and orange patterns on a cream background. The color combination was not overly bold and had a slightly vintage feel.

Spread out at the beach or on grass, it looked bright and refreshing. The colors also came out well in photos.

How does it feel when drying off or lying on it?

Made of microfiber, it felt soft to the touch and against my skin. It was neither scratchy nor stiff, and although thin, the weave felt dense and sturdy. It was comfortable to lie on and soft for drying off, too.

Does sand shake off easily after water activities?

Even when the children climbed onto it while wet, it dried fairly quickly, so it was easy to dry off and spread it out again. What I liked most in use was that sand did not cling to it easily.

After using it, a few brisk shakes sent the sand right off. There was less need to shake out sand caught between the fibers over and over, which made tidying up easy. I also felt that other debris did not stick to it easily.

How were color bleeding and drying after one wash?

I put it through the washing machine once, and there was almost no color bleeding. I was a little worried about the first wash because it has a pattern, but the colors stayed clean afterward. It also air-dried quickly and was nearly dry in less than a few hours.

Even during use, it did not stay wet for long, so it felt less damp. After water activities, even when I left it in the car, there was less of that damp smell, which made it easy to care for.

How do you store it, and is there any drawback to its thickness?

It worked well for sitting on or drying off with during water activities. Given its size and feel, I thought it could also work as a picnic mat or camping blanket. It has an attached elastic band, so rolling it up and securing it made tidying and storage simple.

If you expect a thick, plush towel, it may feel thin. For me, the thinness was more convenient because it dried quickly and took up less room in my bag. It was easy to pack lightly for water activities, when luggage tends to pile up.
