Terrace café in Yeongjongdo for egg tarts: 5PM sunset hour

Last winter, I tried Dubai salt bread with a friend and realized this Yeongjongdo dessert hotspot, 5PM sunset hour, was the real deal. It gets quite a lot of delivery orders, apparently!! This was my first time visiting the actual shop... haha.

For parking, use the KCC Suisse apartment shopping-area parking lot~ Turn right toward the CU convenience store and it is at ground level! Most customers seem to walk here, though.

An outdoor terrace perfect for cool days

The outdoor terrace is great for having a coffee with your dog, and for taking in the fresh air when the weather is cool like it is these days! It does not feel stuffy either, haha. There are orange flowers blooming in the planters, too! Orange really is the signature color.

Inside were two tables for two and some cute posters! Since 5PM sunset hour is a Yeongjongdo café with lots of takeaway and delivery orders, the outdoor seating is more spacious than the indoor seats, and it is very much a dessert spot for takeout! The café cups were so cute, and freshly baked bread and desserts were displayed everywhere. The lovely bread smell instantly lifted my mood. Maybe because it is known for desserts, lots of people were looking for loaf bread, too!

5PM sunset hour had butter rice cakes made with Isigny butter, financiers, egg tarts, and scones, plus Taiwanese sandwiches and doughnuts!

• Financiers: plain, almond, macadamia cream cheese, fig cream cheese, Valrhona chocolate

• Scones: plain, cranberry, Nutella chocolate chip, Lotus
• Doughnuts: strawberry crunch, glazed, sugar strawberry, Bavarian, chocolate crunch

Ordering hot and iced Americanos with an egg tart

Here is the drink menu at 5PM sunset hour! There was a wide range of coffee, cold brew, hand-drip coffee, other drinks, and tea. I especially loved the iced Americano, haha.

Ta-da. Today’s order: a hot Americano, iced Americano, egg tart, and Valrhona chocolate financier! The coaster and cups were 5PM sunset hour merchandise. That mug for the hot Americano was especially adorable.

Eating on the outdoor terrace meant I could enjoy the weather without cold air-conditioning, and thanks to the pleasantly cool day, I relaxed over coffee while breathing in the outdoor air~ The plate was yellow and the straw was orange! The sunset concept is unmistakable.

A sweet, soft egg tart

The egg tart! It was so soft, delicious, and sweet~ A properly sweet egg tart! Dessert: checked.

A financier with two Valrhona chocolate sticks

A chocolate financier with two strips of Valrhona chocolate sticks inside! I reaaally love chocolate. The financier had a deep chocolate aroma and buttery flavor—yes, I can absolutely vouch for this dessert place.

The wind was pretty cold, and I am someone who feels the cold easily... but this blogger still wants what goes down my throat to be cold... I came away refreshed by an iced Americano and delicious desserts.
