Sharosu-gil burger spot: solo bacon cheeseburger and nachos, Daily Fix

On a rare relaxed day, I had to eat lunch alone and started thinking about burgers. I almost headed to Lotteria but decided today should be a handmade burger day, so I went to Sharosu-gil (샤로수길) instead. It's supposedly a famous handmade burger spot that even shows up on YouTube, a Sharosu-gil favorite, so I headed there early. This is Daily Fix, a solo-dining favorite near Seoul National University Entrance Station.

Being only 2-3 minutes from Seoul National University Entrance Station makes Daily Fix, a Sharosu-gil favorite, easy to visit even on hot days. Plus, since it opens at 10:30am, it's also a great option near the station if you're starving and want a handmade burger early.

I visited a bit early, but as lunchtime approached, tons of office workers from the area started coming in haha. Lots of solo diners too. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend making a Naver Reservation.

Random detail, but the sofa seats at Daily Fix, the Sharosu-gil favorite, are super cushy. Hahaha, I sat down and went whoa, what is this. Haha.

The menu at Daily Fix was really varied. On top of that, you can customize with options or remove anything you can't eat. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger, nachos, and a cola.

The cola came out first, and it turned out to be refillable!! That's such a nice touch.

How was the bacon cheeseburger?

About 10 minutes later, the burger arrived. The bacon cheeseburger looked delicious right off the bat, with thick bacon, cheese, patty, and onion generously packed between the buns.

Cutting the bacon cheeseburger in half, the bacon wasn't the thin, crispy style but thick, so you really got that chewy texture, and its savory saltiness paired well with the patty.

The patty had a moist, soft texture, so it wasn't dry at all, and you could really taste the meat's own flavor. Honestly I don't like handmade burgers when the patty is dry...! But the Daily Fix burger, this Sharosu-gil favorite, was so moist.

On top of that, the cheese melted in smoothly and the onion added a bit of freshness that cut through the richness! With bacon, patty, cheese, and onion all coming together in one bite, the juiciness and savory saltiness blended really well in this burger.

How were the side nachos?

The nachos I ordered as a side were nice and crispy, good to eat alongside the burger. With cheese-chili sauce piled generously on top, they were much tastier than plain nachos.

The rich, savory taste of the cheese combined with the chili's spicy kick gave the nachos way more depth than plain nachos would have, and they were perfect to nibble on between bites of the burger.
