Cheonan dessert café takeout on the way to a wedding: Brewers Coffee

I was in Cheonan over the weekend for a wedding, and I stopped by Brewers Coffee again — a dessert café in Sinbu-dong I'd visited once before :)

Sinbu-dong has cafés and good restaurants scattered all over, so it's a great neighborhood for dessert after a meal, and Brewers Coffee especially stands out for its wide range of baked goods — I'd recommend it to anyone who loves dessert.

As expected of a hot spot, it was nearly packed on the weekend, standing room only — you could really feel how popular it is haha. Both the drinks and desserts are top-notch, so if you've tried them, you'll understand why. Let's get into the real review ♥

Where Brewers Coffee Cheonan Sinbu Branch is and where to park

• Hours: Daily 12–9pm
• Parking: Sinbu Public Parking Lot No. 4 right next door recommended (first 30 minutes free)

It's located near the Sinbu-dong bus terminal, so it's easy to get to and convenient to drop by before or after shopping or meeting someone. And good news for anyone driving — there's a public parking lot right next to the café with about 30 minutes free, so you can visit without worrying about parking. (Light cars get 2 hours free.)

There were tables outside the café, but they'd been cleared away — probably because of how hot it's been lately.

Weekend afternoons tend to have a wait, so I noticed they'd thoughtfully set out iced tea for waiting customers.

And it was a scene similar to my visit two months ago haha, packed with people just like back then. As befits a well-known dessert spot in Sinbu-dong, it was already full of people.

There were also seats by the window for solo customers. That side felt a bit more open.

The baked goods lineup: financiers, canelés, flans and madeleines

Nunetine financier, plain financier, apple earl grey financier, vanilla macadamia financier, salted caramel financier, salted chocolate financier, Dubai chocolate financier, butter rice cake financier — just looking at the financier lineup shows they're on top of every current trend haha. My curiosity, and I'm extremely curious by nature, was thoroughly stirred up.

On top of that, there are four kinds of canelé,

plus flans and madeleines — for anyone who loves baked goods, Brewers Coffee is basically dessert heaven ♡ It was hard to pick just one, so in the end I went with the pistachio canelé, cream brûlée flan, and salted chocolate chip madeleine.

The gift box sets looked pretty great too haha.

Since I was heading to a wedding with a friend, I asked for everything packed to go :)

Getting a gift in a box like this would genuinely make anyone's day haha. The packaging is really nice too.

Tasting the signature Brewers coffee and three desserts at home

With the signature Brewers coffee, I could taste the fluffy sweetness of the cream from the very first sip — it seemed like exactly the thing to drink when you need a sugar boost in the afternoon. I usually don't drink much coffee since I dislike bitterness, but this was a soft sweetness that hit my exact preference, so it was delicious haha.

I ate the packed baked goods slowly at home :D As a certified dessert fanatic, just seeing this three-shot lineup made me happy. On the cream brûlée flan, some of the caramel coating on the underside stuck to the wrapping and peeled off a little.. ㅠㅎ

Pistachio canelé, 4,000 won

I started with the pistachio canelé. The outside has that signature crisp yet slightly chewy canelé texture, while the inside is moist and soft, and the contrast between the two was fun. The distinct nuttiness of pistachio made it a touch nuttier than a regular canelé, I'd say? It wasn't just plain sweet — the pistachio's nuttiness came through, so it seemed like it would pair well with coffee.

Salted chocolate chip madeleine, 3,600 won

Next up was the salted chocolate chip madeleine. The soft, moist madeleine has chocolate chips studded through it along with a sugar coating, so one bite gives you that crisp, sweet chocolate flavor plus the sweetness of the sugar coating — an inherently can't-go-wrong combination. Even with chocolate in it, it wasn't overly sweet, giving it more of a punch than a plain madeleine. As a self-declared chocolate lover though.. I did wonder if I should've gone for a madeleine with a more assertive chocolate presence haha.

The top pick: cream brûlée flan, 6,000 won

And then, completely unexpectedly, this cream brûlée flan became my top pick!! The sweet caramel layer on top makes an impression from the very first bite, and inside, the soft, moist custard just melts in your mouth — absolutely delicious ㅠㅠㅠ The sweet vanilla flavor combined with the caramel's sweetness made for a truly delicious bite. This is the one dish at Brewers Coffee I'd strongly urge you to try.
