Sinnonhyeon 24-hour café with 300-won scans at peak hour: Selecto

Hi everyone ☺️ I've had reasons to be around Sinnonhyeon a lot lately, so this time I went looking for somewhere to rest for a bit and heard there's a 24-hour café here — so I checked it out. When I go to a café, I care less about just drinking coffee and more about whether I can sit for a long time, whether the seats are comfortable, and whether there's something simple to eat. This place turned out to be exactly right for me haha.

Where Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon is, and first impressions

Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is right near Sinnonhyeon Station, so it was really easy to get to. From the first look, the shop was clean, and Selecto Coffee's signature red accents really stood out!

The menu and prices are posted right outside the shop. It was nice being able to check the menu before deciding, 'should I go in here?' For someone like me who checks what a place sells before even walking in, that kind of thing actually matters haha.

Open 24 hours: how the staffed and unstaffed hours split

The biggest advantage here is that it's a 24-hour café!! Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch 24 Auto Brew Cafe serves coffee made with Selecto's own beans during staffed hours, and runs in a simplified, self-service way during unstaffed hours. A lot of cafés close early these days, so it's hard to find somewhere late at night — but this place being open 24 hours means you're not limited by time, which is great. And on top of that, you can print things 24 hours a day,,

The solo study desks stayed quiet even at peak hour

When I visited it was peak hour, so there were a lot of customers. Because of that I couldn't get a proper photo of the whole interior, but honestly the shop is much bigger than expected, with plenty of seats. There are regular 2-person tables and table seats, and further inside there's a large communal table where people can each claim their own spot. What I really liked were these solo study desks! They're great for sitting alone with a laptop or studying without worrying about the person next to you. Even though it was a busy time with lots of customers, it didn't feel loud or chaotic. So I thought it would be good for studying or working on a laptop, and also just a nice space to spend time alone haha.

How much does printing, copying and scanning cost?

There's a dedicated print zone set up in one corner of the café. It handles not just printing but also copying and scanning, and the instructions posted next to it are detailed enough that even a first-timer could use it easily. And the prices were pretty reasonable too.

You know how sometimes you suddenly need to print something really late at night? In that kind of situation, instead of hunting for a stationery shop or a print spot, being able to have a cup of coffee at a 24-hour café while printing what you need is super convenient, right?!

The bakery counter: sandwiches and 10 kinds of cake slices

Another thing I liked about Selecto Coffee Sinnonhyeon Branch is that the bakery and dessert selection is quite varied! In particular, there were more sandwich types than I expected. When I visited, several kinds were packaged and displayed, and the prices weren't too steep either, so it seemed easy to grab a simple meal along with coffee. There were also desserts like cookies, scones, muffins, and bagel chips, plus salt bread and bagels. And though I didn't get a photo of it, there were also about 10 kinds of pretty cake slices further inside the store.

At first I just assumed it was a 24-hour café, but once I actually went in, the range of bakery and dessert items was wide enough that it could hold its own as a dessert bakery café! I liked having so many options — come for coffee, eat a sandwich if you're hungry, or grab cake or a dessert if you're craving something sweet.

Tasting the salmon sandwich and the mocha and geisha americanos

Salmon sandwich ₩8,500, iced americano mocha blend ₩3,800, iced americano geisha blend ₩3,800. The coffee is this cheap, and you can even choose your beans by preference!! Personally I'm not a fan of coffee with strong acidity, so between the two, the mocha blend was closer to my taste haha. Overall the coffee was smooth, finishing cleanly rather than lingering long on the palate. The salmon sandwich I ordered alongside it was also good as a simple meal replacement!
