※ Geomdan New Town hidden gem: Bistro Cookie ※

I live in Geomdan New Town, and I only just found out there's such a lovely neighborhood restaurant near Singeomdanjungang Station. We went to Bistro Cookie for our wedding anniversary date, and the space and the food were better than I expected. 💯 If you're looking for a great date spot in Seo-gu, Incheon, I really recommend it. Here's our special time at Bistro Cookie.
Bistro Cookie exterior, parking and how to get there

Isn't the building gorgeous from the outside? 🏚 With that cute awning, it felt like a bistro somewhere in Europe rather than Geomdan New Town. We went early on a Monday evening, so it was still quiet and there were plenty of parking spots.

- 📌 If you drive, park on the alley in front of the building. It's a side street, and we were told there's no parking enforcement.
- 📌 On foot, walk 500m from Singeomdanjungang Station Exit 2 toward Hillstate, then go 400m up the Hohobread alley. Bistro Cookie is the last building.

Bistro Cookie has a nameplate certifying full membership in the Neapolitan pizza masters' association, so I was even more excited for the wood-fired pizza! 🍕 There are baby chairs inside too, so you can come for a family gathering with a little one.

Is Bistro Cookie's interior good for a date?
Bistro Cookie has a modern, stylish interior with a spacious layout, high ceilings and tall windows, which is perfect for a date. Stepping inside is even more impressive. 🥰 The big open space with high ceilings feels airy, and the sunlight pouring through the windows feels cozy.

The window seats have an especially nice mood! 🌿 Every table and chair looks high-end, and I liked the neat table settings that were already prepared. It's exactly the kind of atmospheric interior you want for a date.
The tables are spaced widely enough that nobody disturbs your meal. And there's a huge wood-fired oven in the kitchen. And, wait, even the oven is pretty.. 🍕

Next to the counter there's a cute cat figure, Bistro Cookie's mascot, along with lots of little decorative items, so there's plenty to look at.

You can tell they put real effort into the interior. Flowers everywhere add life to the space. I bet when you visit, you'll say "wow, so pretty.." without meaning to. 🌹🌹 It's ideal for a date on a birthday or wedding anniversary.

We sat down and looked through the menu on a tablet. There were plenty of à la carte dishes, but since we wanted to try a bit of everything at a good value, my husband and I chose the Cookie Set.
Bistro Cookie Cookie Set for 2: what's included and the price

The Cookie Set for 2 at Bistro Cookie is pasta + pizza + salad + 2 drinks for ₩58,000. Ta-da! The whole set came out, and for the quality, the price felt reasonable.
Ricotta cheese fruit salad
The set's salad is a ricotta cheese fruit salad. Isn't the plate just so, so pretty! ♡ Fresh greens are topped with ricotta and a tangy balsamic dressing, and there's plenty of fruit too. 🍉
It felt like twice as much ricotta as other places. Orange, pineapple, watermelon. The mix of colorful seasonal fruit, crisp greens and soft ricotta was really fresh and delicious. 🥗
Octopus puttanesca
The pasta is octopus puttanesca. 🐙 A whole chunky octopus leg on top looks really luxurious, doesn't it? I hear it's a traditional pasta from Naples, Italy.

It's a spaghetti flavored with octopus, capers, black olives, the acidity of tomato and anchovy, with a very slight spiciness that's part of the charm. 🌶️
You cut the chewy octopus leg into bite-size pieces yourself with scissors. Here's my eldest son working hard at it.. haha

The sauce soaked well into the noodles and the umami of the anchovy was superb. The octopus wasn't tough but tender, with a great texture. It tasted polished, like from a real pasta specialist. 💯
Margherita wood-fired pizza

The pizza is a margherita fresh out of the wood-fired oven! 🍕 The thin crust was moist and chewy, and really delicious.

They say the simpler the ingredients, the more the crust texture, topping freshness and oven time decide the taste. Maybe because it was so well baked, I could really taste the nutty flavor.

The freshness of the tomato sauce and the richness of the mozzarella make a fantastic pair... 🍅 I think it's even better because it sticks to the basics.

You can faintly taste that smoky wood-fired aroma too. Approved as a Seo-gu, Incheon favorite and a top wood-fired pizza spot in Geomdan New Town.
Bistro Cookie as a wedding anniversary date spot: our verdict

Bistro Cookie satisfied us on interior, food and service, an excellent choice for a wedding anniversary date. Near Singeomdanjungang Station, neighborhood restaurants with this kind of atmosphere still aren't common.. The interior was full of charm, the food was great, and the service was flawless. 👍🏻
For someone special you want to treat to a good meal, whether friends, family, a partner or your spouse, I recommend this Seo-gu, Incheon restaurant with no regrets. Next time I definitely want to try other dishes. 🥰
