Sinheung Station group dinner venue with doenjang sulbap: Musoettuk

Today I'm bringing you a review of Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch, which has become a famous samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) spot near Sinheung Station in Seongnam! This is the real-deal restaurant that even appeared on the show Amazing Saturday — honest review starting now~~

Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch: hours, address and how to get there

Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch is on the 1st floor of 134 Simin-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, open daily 11:00 - 23:00. Reservations are through Naver Reservations for parties of 4 or more, and 12+ needs a phone call. There's no parking, so you'll need to use a nearby public parking lot.

It's about a 4-minute walk from Sinheung Station Exit 3. Come out of Exit 3, go straight, then turn left past the Baskin Robbins and the KT store, and you'll see Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch. If you're using the underground shopping arcade, Exit 4-2 puts the restaurant right in front of you — that's the closest route!

Inside Musoettuk Samgyeop: how many people fit at the group table?

The inside of Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch had a retro vibe, spacious and clean! There's group seating that fits up to about 20 people, making it perfect for work dinners or gatherings.

Right as you walk in, you see celebrity autographs on the wall.. this really is the genuine spot that even Amazing Saturday visited >_<

I visited around 5pm on a weekday, so it was quiet, but as it got closer to dinnertime the place filled up fast!

There was music playing in the restaurant, and they even take song requests!! If there's a song you want to hear, just ask the staff quietly~

On one side of the restaurant there's a meat fridge. The meat ages in there, and it looked really fresh.

Menu and how to order at the table kiosk

Here's the menu at Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch! Beyond the individual dishes, there are set menus, side dishes, and even a lunch menu!! The lineup was really diverse haha. You order using the kiosk at each table.

There were two of us, and we ordered the Musoettuk 2-person set, doenjang sulbap (soybean paste rice soup), onion wraps, draft beer, and soju~

The basic side dishes were garlic, shredded scallion, lettuce, chili peppers, and dipping sauce.

Onion wraps

I was curious that onion wraps were a standalone menu item, so I ordered it, and it came out as just raw onion slices like this! The onion itself wasn't spicy, and it got sweeter the more you chewed it — putting meat on top and eating it together was genuinely delicious.

Draft beer

You can't eat grilled meat without a drink!! It was so cold and smooth.

The Musoettuk 2-person pork belly set

Finally, the Musoettuk 2-person set arrived!! Around the edges, the pork belly and pork neck were arranged appetizingly, and in the middle, kimchi, tofu, and minari were grilled well in the meat fat haha. Right in the very center there was even meljeot (fermented anchovy sauce), so the whole plate felt really substantial. The staff grilled the meat and brought it to us, and all we had to do was keep it warm on low heat at the table, which was so convenient. I'm especially bad at grilling meat myself, so having the staff grill it for us at Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch was such a relief >_<

The meat is delicious on its own, but honestly, eating it with the onion was even better ㅠ.ㅠ!!

Doenjang sulbap: rice in soybean paste stew

Halfway through eating meat, I got a craving for rice, so I ordered the doenjang sulbap! It had plenty of tofu and meat mixed in, so it was really satisfying >_< The broth was rich and slightly spicy, which felt like it cut through the greasiness of the meat.

Overall, I was satisfied with everything — the meat quality, the menu lineup, and the service! What I liked most was that the staff grilled the meat for us directly, so all we had to do was enjoy eating it comfortably.

When paying, the owner even gave us mouthwash, which was a satisfying touch right to the end! >_< The restaurant is spacious and clean, so I'd recommend it not just for a date with your partner, but also for a family meal or a work dinner.
