Joajukne Jjukkumi (조아죽네쭈꾸미) is a jjukkumi (baby octopus) restaurant on the Sangbong food street near Exit 3 of Sangbong Station in Jungnang, Seoul. Beyond the taste and atmosphere, Joajukne Jjukkumi stands out for thoughtful touches like a wet-wipe box at the table and Mentos at the register.

Bangi-dong Korean pub, tofu gangjeong and free mouthwash: Jojomomo

Jojomomo (조조모모) is a Korean gastropub in the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa, Seoul. On a Tuesday around 7 p.m., after work, the writer had a welcome shot of Jirisan Gangsoeju, the signature 1,000ml nurungji dongdongju (rice wine with scorched rice), kimchi jeyuk (spicy stir-fried pork) with dubu gangjeong (crispy glazed tofu), and octopus seafood kimchi jeon (kimchi pancake). Thoughtful touches stood out, including a restroom key card tied to a big raccoon plush and mouthwash handed out at checkout. Jojomomo's food is good enough to pack the room even on weekdays, and it is a Bangi-dong pub worth returning to for dongdongju.
