How to find it from the Songhyeona B1 food court

Wunder Coffee Bar is on the food court side of B1 at Songhyeona.

You need to head to the right~

And then, found it! 🩵

The interior at Songhyeona is modern and clean too, which puts me in a good mood.
What is Wunder Coffee Bar's signature Wunder Gato?
Wunder Coffee Bar's signatures are the Wunder Coffee and the Wunder Gato. If you're asking what's famous at this Songdo café, it's these two!
Put simply, the Wunder Gato is an affogato-style dessert. Strong espresso meets ice cream, so you get cold, bitter and sweet all at once. What sets it apart is that the combination of ingredients is much more carefully put together than an ordinary affogato ❣️

There's a discount on sets ^^ Buy 2 and you get it.

Ice cream and coffee together is just so good, right? The Wunder Gato comes in 3 flavors.
- Wunder Gato (hojicha ice cream)
- Wunder Gato (vanilla ice cream)
- Wunder Gato (hojicha + vanilla ice cream)

Of course there are other drinks and desserts too, but

ice cream is the main thing~

You can also get it in a cone 😘

When you order they give you a buzzer, so just wait nearby and go pick it up 😍
How do the three Wunder Gato flavors differ?
This time I ordered three: the Wunder Gato with hojicha ice cream, with vanilla ice cream, and with hojicha + vanilla ice cream.

This time I tried Wunder Coffee Bar's signature Wunder Gato in three versions. Same menu item, but depending on the ice cream, each one had a totally different charm ☕

The looks are insane~

This one is the half hojicha + vanilla. It was so pretty I had to take a shot.

The half and half was plated the prettiest, haha. The weight is the same, by the way ^^
Vanilla Wunder Gato: the classic affogato

The most classic style is of course the vanilla Wunder Gato. It's the textbook affogato combination, so I went in with expectations, and it delivered steady satisfaction 😊

- Rich vanilla aroma
- Deep espresso flavor
- Clean balance
Once you pour the espresso, the ice cream slowly starts melting, and from that moment the taste keeps changing. At first it's cold with a rich sweetness, and as time passes the strength of the coffee comes through more and more. So good..
Hojicha Wunder Gato: a toasty roasted aroma

Hojicha (roasted green tea) is made from roasted green tea leaves, so you might think it's similar to matcha, but it's totally different~ I've had plenty of matcha desserts, but hojicha ice cream isn't common, so I had high hopes.

- Subtle roasted aroma
- Smooth ice cream texture
- Natural harmony with the espresso
The distinctive toasty scent of hojicha comes first, followed by the bitterness of the coffee. The way the aromas layer in your mouth is really appealing. The sweetness isn't overdone, so the coffee's own flavor still comes through well.

Half hojicha + half vanilla Wunder Gato: the combo I recommend most
If you're not into strong aromas, the half hojicha + half vanilla would be really good too. If I had to pick just one of the three, this is the combination I'd recommend most.

Overall verdict on the three Wunder Gato flavors
The hojicha version had an appealing aroma, the vanilla version showed the textbook affogato taste, and the hojicha + vanilla version felt like the most well-rounded combination.
My rating 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵 It feels like the coffee you have to drink whenever you come to Songhyeona. So delicious ❣️
