What free starter snacks does Jibduri serve?
The starter snacks are cabbage and shrimp chips. The cabbage is seasoned with something like salty dried seaweed (?) and a sesame oil-based sauce! With just these, drinkers like us could polish off several bottles, haha.

How does the beef shank and tendon hot pot broth taste?
First dish: the beef shank tendon hot pot (₩30,000)! Dig in once it starts boiling, and the longer it simmers, the deeper the broth gets. The generous beef shank, tendon, mushrooms and napa cabbage work so well together that it kept calling for more drinks, haha.

Mix mustard well into the hot pot dipping sauce and it lifts the flavor with a sweet-and-sour kick!

Can you see it? The radiant look of this hot pot... I want to eat it again even as I write this..
Traditional liquor pairing for the hot pot: Sulsaem Seoseol
To pair with the hot pot, I ordered Suljeom Seoseol (₩20,000). It is a sweet cheongju (refined rice wine), and women would love it. The sweetness doesn't feel like alcohol, so you get gently tipsy without noticing, haha.

What does fried makchang taste like?
Second dish: fried makchang (₩16,000)!! I'd never had fried makchang before, and its taste and texture are similar to fried chicken skin, which was once all the rage!

It comes with makchang makjang (a thick soybean paste sauce) and salt. The fried bites dipped in salt were surprisingly good.
An extra bottle: omija Saero
One bottle wasn't enough, so we ordered another, omija Saero (schisandra berry liquor)! It was my first time, and it tasted like drinking water after chewing bubblegum. Women would like this one too.
