Magok lash salon, a 50-minute lash lift on a third visit: Mio Brow Bar

This is my third return visit — including a paid-my-own-money visit — to Mio Brow Bar in Magok for a lash lift.

My mom has stuck with the same nail salon for years, but she never really settled on a lash lift place — until this one. Out of the Magok lash lift shops in the area, this is the one she liked best, and the director is so kind that we keep coming back 🤍

Where is Mio Brow Bar, and is there parking? (Connected to Yangcheon-hyanggyo Station)

Mio Brow Bar is on the first floor of the Magok Central Daebang DMC officetel, connected right to Yangcheon-hyanggyo Station, so it's great by subway, and the parking lot is spacious too, super convenient!!

A one-person shop: why we keep going back to Mio Brow Bar

Since Mio Brow Bar is a one-person shop run entirely by the director, you can trust the skill and the results 👍🏻👍🏻 At big salons the staff keeps changing and that makes me nervous, but at Mio Brow Bar in Magok the director does every treatment herself, so there's none of that worry.

Beyond lash lifts and lash extensions, they also do waxing — last time I got eyebrow waxing as a set, but this time it was lash lift only!!

The director at Mio Brow Bar has experience at large brow bars in Gangnam, so her treatments are stable and detailed. For waxing she uses Viera, a Spanish natural wax, which minimizes skin irritation while still giving a clean result~~ She considers muscle movement, brow texture, bone position, and facial proportions to design brows and lashes that aren't overdone but look natural and don't get boring even after a while, so I can trust her completely haha.

Since Mio Brow Bar also does waxing, there's a shower room, and the whole interior always feels immaculately kept — it's comfortable every time I come~~

For a lash lift or lash extensions, a cozy, comfortable interior matters more than you'd think, because if you can't fall asleep from discomfort during the treatment, that hour turns into pure agony... the bed has to be comfortable and the vibe has to be relaxed, no question!!! And on top of that, the director's hands are so quick and precise that there's no sense of anything foreign in your eyes during the treatment, which is great.

Mom's lashes before the lash lift

Mom, who got a lash lift and eyebrow waxing at Mio Brow Bar in Magok before, even went on an overseas trip with me afterward!! She's the type who doesn't fuss over preserving the lift — washes her face and does skincare without any care — and even so, it lasted pretty long!!! Hahahaha. But now her lashes are truly drooping, definitely time for a redo..haha.

And about 50 minutes later — noticeably prettier eyes 🤎 After a few visits, the director now knows exactly what mom likes, so even without saying much, she gets it perfectly done•• Such a sharp eye, ugh.

Even from below, the curl is lifted up tight like a doll's lashes!! If you just lift lashes straight up without considering the eye shape or eyelid, the lashes hit the skin above and kink, and once they start kinking they weaken and fall out one by one — total mess...

The director at Mio Brow Bar in Magok clearly knows exactly how to design the curl for each person's eye shape to make the eyes look prettier, so there's zero of that discomfort 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The hold lasts a long time afterward and there's barely any lash loss — so satisfying every single time hahaha.

How to care for a lash lift afterwards

• Avoid hot water on the face, showering, or swimming for 4–5 hours after the treatment
• Avoid oil-based products like cleansing oil or oil removers on the day of the treatment
• Try to avoid using an eyelash curler during the hold period, as it can damage the curl or break lashes
• Using a lash serum consistently helps the lift last longer and keeps lashes stronger with less shedding
• Some stinging or redness right after the treatment is common and usually temporary; if discomfort continues on the same day, rinse gently with cold water

By this third visit, it felt comfortable and even more trustworthy — Mio Brow Bar, my go-to for lash lifts and extensions in Magok. The director's skill is so good that word seems to be spreading, and it'll only get more popular haha. Next time I'll come get eyebrow waxing myself!!
