A pedicure adds beauty right down to your toes! With the seasons changing, I went for a pedi makeover at Yeppeumgeujache (예쁨그자체), a nail salon near Dongdaegu Station. It's a Sinam-dong nail shop near my home that I've visited now and then, paying with my own money, for a change of mood. It's a total beauty shop where you can get long-lasting nails, pedicures and lashes in a private space, all in one place. I've been 💯% satisfied every time, so I'm here to recommend it to anyone looking for a nail salon near Dongdaegu Station, in Dong-gu, Daegu, or in Sinam-dong!!

Where is Yeppeumgeujache and where do you park?

Yeppeumgeujache is at 65 Dongbuk-ro 81-gil, Dong-gu, Daegu (1st floor), 588 m from Exit 4 of Dong-gu Office Station, about a 10-minute walk. It's open 10:00 - 20:00, closed every Sunday, and you book through Naver Reservation.

• Subway: 10-minute walk from Exit 4 of Dong-gu Office Station
• Bus: 323-1, 836, Circular 3-1, get off at the Gukripsinamseonyeolgongwonap stop
• Directions: in the alley facing the main gate of Dongdaegu Haemorosquare East apartments, across from Areuke Academy
• Parking: 1 space in front of the shop; if that's hard, you can also park in the empty space by the light-green fence inside the alley

If you come by car, send a "visiting by car" text message in advance. They'll text you the parking spot and how to park in case it's tricky, so keep that in mind!

What is the atmosphere inside Yeppeumgeujache?

The whole interior is white-toned, so it felt bright and cozy, and the most important point, cleanliness, was satisfying too 😉 I arrived at my reservation time and the owner kindly opened the door and greeted me brightly, which put me in a good mood!

On one side there were several instructor-course certificates and various plaques. Oh wow~~👏 Trust starts building right away at this nail spot near Dongdaegu Station, haha. Since it's near my home, I've dropped in for pedicures every now and then since last year, and I already know the owner's skill is proven, so you can visit with confidence (the staying power is on another level!).

Nail space: treatments for two people at once

The entrance side is the nail space. The head designer and a senior staff member work here, so two people can get treatments together at this nail salon near Dongdaegu Station.

Lash space: a private room at the back

Go further inside and you'll find a waiting area and a private lash space. They don't apply the same design to everyone: they check your natural lash length, direction, volume and eye shape, then decide length, curl and design to match the intensity and mood you want. So this is a real lash hot spot.

Pedicure space: a sofa so cozy it makes you sleepy

The pedicure space has a cozy-looking, colorful, cute sofa. Having sat there for 1 hour, I can report it's very soft and makes you sleepy 💤 hahaha. A pedicure and nails can be done at the same time, so you just sit in the comfy seat and get prettified~ good to know.

Yeppeumgeujache is running a stamp event. Search for directions on Naver Map and verify your arrival at the shop to get one stamp each time; collect 5 stamps and you get a ₩5,000 coupon. Be sure to take a screenshot when you arrive!

The art of the month changes every month, and you can get high-quality art at a reasonable price. 🍂 The autumn-y art is totally my taste,,, I'll have to come back next month for the monthly art!!

How did the autumn one-tone pedicure go?

Picking from the one-tone color book

Today I'm getting a neat one-tone pedicure at Yeppeumgeujache, haha. Once you sit in the fluffy chair, they hand you a one-tone color book. Wow...✨ No two colors under the sky are the same... there were so many pretty, varied colors that I struggled with the decision throughout the whole treatment.

Before: a pedicure a month old

This is the Before, about a month after my last pedicure. My toenails grow fast, so they'd gotten too long, and poking against my shoes was so uncomfortable and painful 🥲 I was also tired of the color, so I came for a change of mood, haha.

Removing the old pedicure

First, the old pedicure gets removed. There was no discomfort at all; it felt refreshing and comfortable, like shedding old dead skin 👍

Tidying length and shape

Next comes the length. They say that if you keep a pedicure on for a long time, the toenail itself can deform into a rounded, concave shape. Mine is slightly like that 😮‍💨 Luckily the owner's care could handle it... but removal matters when you get pedicures, so even if you aren't doing another pedi, I really recommend getting it removed.

They shape the nails prettily to suit the shape of your feet and toenails. The side lines came off so cleanly while shaping that this step left me very satisfied, haha.

Toenail care

They clear away the old cuticles. Wow, the owner's hands were so fast and precise that I was really satisfied. This is why professionals are different 👏 There's a reason the place has so many reviews!

Base step complete

Swish, swipe, swish, swipe, and the base step was already done. Are these really my toenails, so pretty...🤍✨ After passing through the golden hands of the owner, even bare toenails look classy, like magic~🧚🏻‍♀️ This is what they call "the importance of care," isn't it ❤️ People don't usually get pedicures in winter, but after care you feel good and it's good for your nail health, so I plan to drop in for care now and then!!

Color test, then one-tone

The person who looked at the color book for over 30 minutes = me, ha. The countless colors were so pretty that choosing took ages... After testing a few colors I decided right away and went ahead~!! The owner gave good recommendations and kindly checked the color tests, so deciding wasn't hard at all.

After: white knit one-tone pedicure

Here's the After. It's finished in white with a knit pattern dotted on 🤍 As it gets colder, I toned the color down while adding a warm accent color, and I'm 100% satisfied ✨

Removal plus pedicure took about 1 hour, I think. With the classy color and the satisfying shape, I officially certify this as a top pedicure spot near Dongdaegu Station 👏
