What is Chat Baker, the Gongdo, Anseong brunch café, like on a weekday with kids?

Chat Baker is a large brunch and bakery café in Gongdo, Anseong, with plenty of parking, and on weekdays you can relax there even with kids. This is my first visit in a while to Chat Baker, the Gongdo brunch café in Anseong :) Whenever I come to Anseong, I stop by for brunch, and even after a long gap it was still delicious and a great change of pace!

Being a big café, it has loads of parking, so don't worry about that at all! I went on a weekday, and with kids a weekday really is the most stress-free option :) We could take our time with the little ones.

How big is Chat Baker?

Chat Baker is really huge, so you never have to squeeze into a corner or worry about anyone around you. You can lounge around comfortably, which is exactly what a large café should offer.

In this weather you can't even think about sitting outside, haha, but once it cools down a bit, brunch or a cup of coffee outdoors would be lovely.

Is Chat Baker clean enough to visit with kids?

Chat Baker is very clean and well kept! I came with my nieces this time, and I'm a bit picky about how a café looks inside when I bring kids :) That's why I felt at ease here. There are quite a few people even on a weekday, right?

The 1st and 2nd floors at Chat Baker

The 1st and 2nd floors have somewhat different moods, but both are prettily decorated, so it's great for photos! Looking around is fun too. There are lots of interesting things, and while browsing the interior as you wait, your drinks come out right away.

As a bakery café should :) Chat Baker has many kinds of bread, and if you time your visit right you can get the one you like. The drink and bingsu lineup is also very rich, so it seems lots of people, like me, keep coming back. It would be nice to relax at a café in this weather.

The brunch and kids' strawberry latte I ordered at Chat Baker

This time at Chat Baker I ordered the Johnsonville rosé pasta, the jambon (Korean-style ham) truffle cream risotto, and a strawberry latte for the kids. Here comes the food :) And something here really, truly touched me!

I loved that they left out the ice in the kids' strawberry latte, but kids all have different tastes :) What really got me was that, so we could adjust the sweetness, they gave us half milk and half strawberry latte. Seriously, so touching!

How does the Johnsonville rosé pasta taste?

Chat Baker's Johnsonville rosé pasta is a rosé pasta with Johnsonville sausage. Besides the deep flavor, it was rich and delicious.

How does the jambon truffle cream risotto taste?

I can promise that nobody, young or old, will dislike Chat Baker's jambon truffle cream risotto! Can brunch really be this fancy? It stirred my appetite from the look alone, and the deep flavor in the mouth was superb.

Does Chat Baker accommodate requests for kids' food?

When I asked ahead about spiciness, Chat Baker left the pepper out of all the food. My niece, the prettiest girl in the world :) seemed to prefer the Johnsonville rosé pasta!

Since kids would be eating with me, I asked in advance when choosing the menu whether anything would be spicy! They mentioned the pepper heat, then took the pepper out of the entire meal, which was the ultimate kindness. I was so touched! And my cute little one ate so well!

The rich jambon truffle cream risotto was also great to share with a kid! The flavor is no joke, and if it were near my home I'd show up every single day.

Why I'd go back to Chat Baker, a Gongdo, Anseong brunch café

The food quality at Chat Baker is very high overall! You can see all the perks of a roomy, comfortable large café, and with brunch dishes that adults and kids both enjoy, there's definitely a reason to go two or three times, right?

Everything we ordered for the kids, plus the kindness of taking out the spice, meant they ate it all with nothing left over and went home full. If you're looking for a brunch café in Gongdo, Anseong, I recommend the new café Chat Baker!
