Songdo bakery: ₩500 garlic bread dipped in fresh cream, Tomoru
In short
Tomoru Bakery (토모루베이커리) is a master-baker bakery on Haedoji-ro near Triple Street in Songdo, Incheon, which became popular in Cheongna before opening in Songdo. The writer bought a cucumber baguette, mammoth bread, pecan pie, garlic bread, sweet pumpkin rice bread and a fresh vegetable croquette, and none of it was too sweet or heavy, even after eating a lot. The best way to enjoy Tomoru Bakery is dipping the 500-won garlic bread into the separately sold fresh cream.

What kind of bakery is Tomoru Bakery in Songdo?
Tomoru Bakery (토모루베이커리) is a master-baker bakery on Haedoji-ro 120beon-gil, near Songdo Triple Street. I heard the baker is a 2026 Bakery World Cup winner, so it's said to be a high-quality bread spot.

A master-baker bakery I found in Songdo 🥖🥐🍞 It got famous by word of mouth in Cheongna, and now Tomoru Bakery can be enjoyed in other areas too!

What ingredients does Tomoru Bakery use?
They say the bread is made with organic flour, natural sourdough starter, AOP-certified butter and antibiotic-free eggs, with artificial additives kept to a minimum 😍 They also say the dough is aged at low temperature for at least 18 hours, and just hearing that, you can feel their passion for bread 🔥🔥
Even with the same ingredients, the texture and flavor of bread change a lot depending on the dough, fermentation and baking, so imagine how good it must be when it's made this carefully, haha.

Does Tomoru Bakery have many rice breads?
Tomoru Bakery has a wide variety of breads made with rice flour. Personally, that's exactly what I liked about it!
A wide variety of breads made with rice flour!

There's everything from breads good as a meal replacement to sweet breads, pies, baguettes and garlic bread, so it's hard to pick just one, which is why I bought several 😅

A cucumber baguette, mammoth bread, pecan pie, garlic bread, sweet pumpkin rice bread and a fresh vegetable croquette, please ♡
Why is Tomoru Bakery so popular?
The breads at Tomoru Bakery aren't strongly sweet. Some breads these days hit you with nothing but sugar or cream from the first bite, but the ones I tried at Tomoru let you taste the ingredients and the flavor of the bread itself, so I could eat plenty without feeling weighed down 🔥🔥

At bakeries I personally prefer plain breads like baguettes and ciabatta over ones loaded with cream or sugar, so I love this lineup, haha.

How much is the garlic bread at Tomoru Bakery?
The garlic bread at Tomoru Bakery is ₩500 each. When you buy a bunch of different breads the total climbs fast, but at a good-value place like Tomoru it's easy to toss in garlic bread without worrying, so I grabbed 2 right away, hehe. It's nice to have little items like this to add on and try one by one 👍

Should you try the fresh cream at Tomoru Bakery?
Oh, and!! The fresh cream at Tomoru Bakery is so good that anything made with it, like cakes and mammoth bread, is a sure win.
You have to try the items made with fresh cream
Cakes, mammoth bread and so on ☺️ They also sell the fresh cream separately, so buy one and dip the ₩500 garlic bread in it. Insanely delicious 😁

Can you have coffee and brunch at Tomoru Bakery?
Tomoru Bakery has plenty of drinks as well as bread. Buying bread and coffee and having brunch on the outdoor terrace is totally doable!

How did the breads I brought home from Tomoru Bakery taste?
Pecan pie
A pecan pie packed with big chunks of pecan

Sweet pumpkin rice bread
A sweet pumpkin rice bread with a gently pleasant sweetness

Cucumber baguette and fresh vegetable croquette
My favorite cucumber baguette, plus a fresh vegetable croquette that's filling all on its own
A bakery where you can't go wrong whatever you pick
I didn't buy them today, but the sliced white bread and the kkamang-i are must-buys too, so if you go to Tomoru, be sure to pick them up :-)
