Yeouido izakaya for lamb shoulder rack and highballs: Nani

In short

Nani Yeouido Branch is an izakaya on the third floor of the S-TRENUE Building, about a five-minute walk from IFC Mall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. I came with friends for a second stop and enjoyed lamb shoulder rack and highballs. It was completely full, but the rattan partitions between tables made it feel comfortable.

After dinner with friends, we were looking for somewhere to go for a second stop and chose Nani Yeouido Branch because we liked the snack menu and atmosphere. I was especially curious about the lamb shoulder rack, which I had never tried before.

Can I make a reservation or park when coming for a second stop?

At the time of my visit, I was told that reservations through Naver could be made until 9:30 PM. I liked that it was possible to reserve a table even when moving somewhere later in the evening. The restaurant is on the third floor of the S-TRENUE Building at 37 Gukjegeumyung-ro 2-gil, and parking is available on basement levels 2–3.

It is about a five-minute walk from IFC Mall. It was listed as a 10-minute walk from The Hyundai, but when I walked there, it felt closer than that.

What meal options and prices are available?

I could check the menu outside the restaurant as well. The perilla oil octopus pasta was ₩23,000, and the cheddar cheese hambak steak was ₩21,000. We had already eaten dinner this time, but with dishes like these, I thought it could also work for a date where you have both a meal and drinks in one place.

What were the interior and table spacing like?

When we came for a second stop, every seat was taken, so it was difficult to take photos while avoiding other guests. The lighting, curtains, and railings together reminded me of an old salon.

At the time of my visit, they were also running a review event that gave out yogurt ice cream.

There were rattan partitions between the tables. They were not fully enclosed walls, so they did not feel stifling, while still blocking views from neighboring tables and making me feel comfortable.

How were the highball and complimentary snacks?

I do not drink much, so I usually have about one highball. The highball I had here stood out because it tasted clean.

The complimentary snacks included fried geonppang (hard bread biscuits) and side dishes such as seasoned seaweed salad. I kept reaching for the fried geonppang, and the seaweed side dish was also a pleasant extra. Although it was fried in oil, it felt light and crisp, almost as if it had been baked. Even though we had eaten a full dinner, we finished it quickly.

How was the lamb shoulder rack I tried for the first time?

The biggest reason I chose Nani Yeouido Branch was the lamb shoulder rack. I had eaten lamb skewers several times, but it was my first time having shoulder rack. The lamb, described as Australian chilled meat, had no noticeable gaminess, so I enjoyed it.

They provided scissors and tongs, which made it easier than holding it with my hands. It also came with jiran (cumin seasoning) and olive-basil dressing, which were good to eat with it.

I stopped by for a second round this time, but it left me with the impression of a restaurant with good highballs. Next time, I would like to come back for a meal.
